Hi +Anne Wynne. You asked if I sanded the legs before painting. I did not sand beforehand since I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It typically does not require sanding unless the surface is super shiny and slick. In which case I would lightly sand.

The color design on this writing desk was inspired by a secretary desk that was painted by Jonathan Marc Mendes at Painted Love. His work is so beautiful! I just had to try the color scheme for myself! Stop on over at the blog for more information.

I painted some thrift store birdhouses to add a touch of Spring to my furniture booth. It's so easy to transform them into whatever look you want.

You're a trooper for working on projects when you feel under the weather. But the nesting tables are lovely! The white stencils look fantastic against the green.

I can't believe how different the table looks with each makeover. But you knocked out of the park with this last one +Marie Blackburn. Adding the bottom shelf and casters was a brilliant idea.

The table is adorable +Marie Blackburn. I love the overall design and it works wonderfully with this piece. Adding the hinge inside really adds value to the function and the knob on the outside was the perfect decorative touch.

I was going to give this a traditional look, but decided instead to give it some extra vintage charm with a chippy look. I used a wet distressing method to avoid having to sand outside in the cold!
