Everything is feeling rather autumnal here at the Reindeer Centre, and the bulls are stripping their antlers ready for the rut. Here is handsome 4-year-old Balmoral, with young pretender yearling Aonach.

It's calving time here at the Reindeer Centre! We've already had our first new arrival, a wee girl, and plenty more on the way! If you're visiting in the next few weeks, there's a chance you may see them, though we don't guarantee it as we leave it up to the mums to decide whether or not to be sociable!

The weather from the office window just now... it was 25 degrees 4 days ago and we were all wearing shorts :-(

Bit of a chilly weekend here after last week's sunshine, but the reindeer are enjoying the cooler weather. Lots of very pregnant looking females - it won't be long until we see the first calves being born!

We've had some lovely warmer weather over the last few days, and the reindeer have been very relaxed, so if you're in the area its a super time to come and visit. Just a reminder that the only option for seeing the herd at this time of year is our 11am hill visit though - no reindeer here at the Centre until the Easter holidays!
