Coalition unveils largest-ever investment in child care
Assistant Minister for Education Sussan Ley announced today the investment of about $200 million for the Long Day Care Professional Development Programme. According to MEGT Institute General Manager, Greg Pritchard, government funding helps make investment in skills more affordable. “Over 100 child care centres directly source staff from MEGT Institute to help meet the requirements of the National Quality Framework”.
“We made significant investments in our campus facilities in Sydney and Melbourne at a time when other colleges pulled back. But we knew the marketplace was in dire need of more people in the child care industry and that the new facilities would support better learning for our students.”
