I was in this band for about 16 months ! Went by three different names back then, One Record Label owned, George Brix, So we all had other names so we could play with other bands. Three different Bands, all at once. Blue Cheer, Orphan Egg, ...and on off with Lee Michaels and Quicksilver Messenger Service. Santana, Moby Grape, Country Joe and the Fish, Steppenwolf. " Blue Cheer's debut album, Vincebus Eruptum, was widely and accurately described as "the loudest record ever made" when it first appeared in early 1968, and the band seemingly had the good sense to realize that for sheer brutal impact, there was little chance they could top This ! Song sold 5 and a half Million Copies in one year. Just in the U.S. Blue Cheer - Summertime Blues

This is NOT Blue Cheer !  I know !   I was the Drummer in the Original Blue Cheer !  Mercury Records kept using the name with other players to sell records !

Pulling some lost lost brain cells back together, I recall the three members being named Dicky, Ducky, and Fucky . There was a cool interview on the band in a San Francisco underground magazine called Paper Bag that used brown grocery bag paper for the covers. Lost the magazine and the Summertime Blues album went through a fire where it was half off of a coffee table and melted like one of Salvador Dali's melting clocks.
