Are we ready for a $57,400 Electric Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Granted it comes with a $7,500 Federal Tax credit, but the 100 mile chargeable range would be a deal breaker for me.

How about you?

Mike Kelly (a Republican, representing the Third District of Pennsylvania in the U.S. Congress. He is also a former car dealer.) says we should "Pull plug on electric vehicle subsidies" in the USA Today column (http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/forum/story/2011-12-01/chevy-volt-green-taxpayers/51545634/1).

I think I tend to agree given the range of electric vehicles, cost and the state of the U.S. economy
