Hi, I just posted a blog on what I think is going to happen due to impending disk drive shortages (due to Thailand flooding). Sounds thrilling, eh? http://t.co/66B7ho2R

I love the ass clowns "occupying Wall St.". The only way to occupy Wall St. is to become binary code. Evil, binary code.

You know if they really wanted to have an impact, they would be hitting the exchange data centers in New Jersey. Unless you impact the markets directly, you wont get wall streets attention.

In Australia they say "How are you going?" instead of "how are you doing"? Was very confusing to me for several days, but I know realize neither is logical or sensical.

Red Hat just bought Gluster for $136M cash. That's a good deal for an open source based scale-out storage file system. Good for them.

I'd say they're doing it for the tech. I can't see them spending that much money to bury a piece of software that was essentially no threat (unless Oracle bought it, but they've already got OCFS2 (edit: which, albeit, fills a different software niche than Gluster)). At least, I hope. I had massive problems with RHCS back in the 5.2 days - it just wasn't production-stable. If they're actively working on it, then I've got hope that it'll end up better than it was then.

Woke up irritated (Pats, Red Sox), then found my "More Cow Bell" tee shirt to wear to staff meetings, and thus am now in a much better mood.

I find it astounding that we continue to have consumer security breaches over and over (me, again). And, perhaps worse, the Red Sox have regressed back 10 years.

What's truly fascinating in this ridiculous show down of political moronity is the Republican position on killing spending (which i agree with) which doesn't put any of the blame on themselves for the cost of fighting 2 10 year wars - which Bush decided to do on his own. The U.S. government is an embarrassment. Sorry, world.
