Went there to have lunch today. I ordered a Tullamore Dew And a Harp lager. My son ordered a Guinness. Bartender wasn't exactly friendly, but no big deal. He served my whiskey and the Guineas. I asked about my Harp. He said "My tap is dead and I have to get the manager to hook up a new keg". He said it would be about 5 minutes, then commented " If they just let the bartenders change kegs we wouldn't have this problem". Then he disappeared. About 10 minutes later he starts to come in the bar, but is cornered by what I now know is the manager and they both disappear. We are sitting there with menues expecting to order food. At the 15 minute mark I see the bartender in the next room and flag him down. He says "I told you it would be a few minutes". Yeah, you said 5 its now been 15! Says I. He contests how long its been and leaves AGAIN! Shortly after the guy who turns out to be the manager comes toward us. My son casually remarks that he's about ready to pay the check and leave. The manager overhears and says, loudly and rudely, " Fine, pay your bill and leave!". I Toss down my drink, he goes behind the bar and says, rudely and loudly again, "Never mind the bill, I'll take care of it, just leave!". I did. My son had some words to the effect he had never been treated so rudely in his life. Check my posts. I am not in the habit of posting negative reviews.

The food is good, the view is excellent, and the staff are friendly. However, this isn't the place to go if you are in a hurry. The service is pretty slow. If you want to kick back, relax, enjoy some beer, and take your time though, its a great place to visit. I see a lot of reviews talking about long waits to be seated. I have never waited for a table for longer than 5 minutes here, but I have also always gone mid afternoon.

Food was good service was lacking. Our server ignored us for a good 20 minutes till another server brought us water. The food was good but a little over priced for what you got.

I sent my husband and best friend to get a beer and appetizer while I shopped and 25 minutes later they left with 19 tables empty and they watched 13 tables leave the restraunt. I went in to talk to the manager and she said they were all reserved? ?? and they said they were going to seat them. My husband and friend weren't about to be seated, they were told the kitchen was backed up and that's why they weren't seated yet. The manager of the Newport restraunt gave me the colombus managers store number instead of her managers number to complain to. DO NOT GO TO THE NEWPORT CHAIN!!!! & this is for my favorite restraunt I got proposed to at....

I ordered the Dublin Chicken. Delicious. The sauce was heavenly. I got fries and Mac&Cheese instead of what it usually comes with. Fries were nothing special. Mac&Cheese was not good at all. Also got fried pickles as an appetizer that was pretty tasty. What really irked me was our server substituted my sides for free but failed to mention the barbecue sauce I requested and she brought was $0.75. However, I love the decor and ambiance of the restaurant and the view was breathtaking.

Arrived at 528p was told 25 minutes left at 715p. Without being seated. Either they are very disorganized or lied about table availability. Wasted a Saturday night now at a very good local Mexican restaurant dinner served 20 minutes after arrival....ole
