And to everyone in this Congress who still refuses to raise the minimum wage, I say this: If you truly believe you could work full-time and support a family on less than $15,000 a year, go try it. If not, vote to give millions of the hardest-working people in America a raise.

Re-think your passwords.

We’ve talked a lot about password security, and how you should be using longer, complex passphrases, rather than short passwords. In this video, Edward Snowden explains why you should use passphrases in a way all your friends and family can understand.

Wait. What?
Rep. Stockman said that he hoped his stern words would serve as a wake-up call to Mr. Obama: “Mr. President, there’s still time for you to get in line. But if you continue to fulfill the duties of President of the United States that are expressly permitted in the Constitution, you are playing with fire.”

With fitness and nutrition, it's all about the context of your current state and the risks you take while trying to get healthy.  While walking up the steps to the office may be deemed "good for you", it's not necessarily the right choice for an obese man with unstable angina for example.

It's all relative, and more importantly, individual:
As fitness-striving human beings, we are automatically used to categorizing actions into "healthy" and "unhealthy" buckets. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator? Definitely healthy. Eating Oreos at the end of the day? Most definitely unhealthy, right? Not so fast. Here's why thinking in this way might be stifling your progress.

Just imagine 300,000 computer-controlled mirrors, each measuring 7 feet high and 10 feet wide. This is the short description of world`s largest solar power plant today. All these are controlled by towers measuring more then 459 feet in which water is transformed into steam to …

My wife and I start each major appliance purchase here and usually don't need to go anywhere else. Our washing machine, freezer, cook-top and now, refrigerator are from Sears Outlet and we are satisfied customers. I sold major appliances for 10 years, so I don't need a lot of technical assistance with the product, so knowledge isn't too important, but we were greeted promptly, left to ourselves to browse and then periodically followed-up on. A no pressure experience. Associates are polite, prepared with tape measures, and promptly answer general questions. Our last representative double-checked on a delivery question before giving out incorrect information. She checked us out quickly and didn't pressure us for extended warranty (which I think are ALWAYS worth it on appliances nowadays). The product selection is good, though not so many smaller refrigerators. Some of the scratch and dents outweigh the price of the product, but many with barely noticeable bumps or nicks. Prices are a bit higher than one might expect for scratch and dents, but they seem to move a lot of stuff through there, so pricing is at least competitive. Delivery experiences have been unmemorable which means - in and out with little fuss or mess. Service out twice on the Kenmore washer. Once was an adjustment and once was a control board. (Did I mention the warranties are worth it?) One guy was a little snarky at me when I didn't realize there was a special way to clean a front load washer. But other than that, I was satisfied with speed and quality of the work.

I needed a drain pipe leak repaired and a faucet replaced in the main bathroom. On time (even a few minutes early). Quick work. Reasonable rate. Jason and (Travis?) were prompt, courteous, and prepared with the materials they needed. Highly recommended.
