I hadn't heard of this particular aspect of the Nazi atrocities.

I am feeling smug 'cos I don't run Windows, but this seems like an easy one for Windows users to have dodged. There was a security patch. MS even released a patch for an OS they no longer support. But people who don't install patches and don't do backups....

This was my project yesterday. I gathered the fallen chestnuts and roasted them enough to make the skins brittle, removed the skins, and then roasted them again for ages. Then I ground them into flour and finally baked them into this loaf. Fairly tedious but Mrs is tremendously fond of chestnut bread so it's a no brainer really. Turned out pretty good considering I largely winged it with the recipe, plus advise from Mrs. It doesn't rise much and is more like a cake than bread, which was expected.

Yesterday was Easter for us, and Mrs used her recently acquired chocolate making skills to make home made eggs. The chocolate is much thicker than bought ones, and better quality than most. She used tumeric to make the 'yolk' which didn't have any taste, though that would have been interesting. She tells me the next ones will be better because she learned a few tricks making these, but they're pretty good already.

We watched this yesterday: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3231054/
If you're not into Christianity you won't like it, but I am and did. I also really like crime stories, police procedurals etc. This is about a Roman Tribune assigned to 'find that body'. So we have a police procedural from 33AD Jerusalem and we kind of know who dunnit don't we? Joseph Fiennes plays the Tribune, Cliff Curtis plays Yeshua. Curtis is a Maori from NZ but he often manages a Middle Eastern look (and gets cast as a terrorist). This role is very different and he plays it subtly and well. The actor playing Peter is instantly recogniseable if you're familiar with old paintings.

Seems to work okay. I need to get some ducting on the back though. Just enough to hang out the window. Oddly it came from China with a Australasian power plug, along with an adapter in case I want to use it in China. Huh? Anyway I no longer have solder fumes wafting into my face as I myopically peer at whatever I'm doing from an inch or so away.

We grew up in the Bay of Plenty where the storm is heading so the places under threat are very familiar. Glad I'm not there at the moment though.

One of those ideas that is obvious once you see it (so it must be good, right?)

(you won't be interested in this unless you code in #Java)
