Take careful note of the following limitation: “Note that in order for recipients to actually edit these files they must be Google documents, spreadsheets, presentations or drawings.”  If your organisation (or more to the point, your users) are wedded to the Microsoft Office file formats, you’re almost certainly better off going with Microsoft’s OneDrive/Office 365 solutions.

Contact delegation with Google still leaves a lot to be desired.  Here’s the kind of thing that would be on my wishlist:

- The ability to share contacts with the rest of the domain (or OU), without having to use a 3rd party product, i.e. create a pool of shared contacts.
- Delegated contacts to behave more “normally”, e.g. be searchable without having to specify the contact group, appear in autocomplete, etc.
- Delegated contact to appear in Outlook when Google Apps Sync is used.

This was phrased as a question, i.e. “Plan to skip Windows 8?”  I would phrase it as advice or a strategy, i.e. “Plan to skip Windows 8”!
