It's a late and marvellous Indian Summer this week, but the weather will become cold enough for this coat...sign up now!

WELL, I've spent the last 24+ hours since the Big Shutdown Notice exploring other venues. Mewe and Pluspora, Winkum, Blinkum, and Tehee...okay, I exaggerate, but why do all these places sound like baby bath gurgles?

Anyway, they all suck. My comparison is to learning that the library where I've enjoyed mellow times with assorted people is closing the room with plush chairs and quiet ambience. As an alternative, people are suggesting holding our ad hoc gatherings in the central train station at rush hour, or perhaps at the sports arena whenever there's a big game on the field.

I don't know how I shall fill the hole the absence of G+ will leave, but it won't be in a vomitorium of hashtags in place of communication.

G+ is dead? Well, I'm not wailing and gnashing my teeth, but it makes me sad as well. Moreso since I just tried to follow the bandwagon to "pluspora". I made an account and nearly sobbed.

"hashtags" "aspects" "more cute buzzwords to learn"

I'm so sick of learning social networking lingo and rules. It's like going from one over-caffeinated wasp nest to another. The ignored-by-cool-kids G+ had at least ramped down the "caffeinated" part to a pleasant hum.

If I didn't still have aspirations of being an author and promoting my books, I'd just settle back and watch the wasps tear themselves apart in the yard across the street.

Personally, I'd love to do this as Superman, but the costume wouldn't have the head covering. That looks like a cold day! Well done, hero!
