Ben Wagner joined 40/29 News as a Reporter in August 2012 and was promoted to weekend co-anchor in July 2013. You can also see his reports during the week on 40/29 News.
Prior to joining 40/29, Ben worked as a reporter/anchor at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. Ben worked to cover the big stories affecting viewers in mid-Missouri. When a deadly EF-5 tornado touched down in Joplin, Ben was one of the first reporters on scene providing live coverage. He also spent time at the state capitol as a statehouse reporter.
Ben has a real passion for international reporting. In spring 2011, Ben worked as a reporter at the Reuters TV bureau in Brussels, Belgium. Ben was working in Europe during the historic uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. He covered the European Union and NATO’s response to rebel group uprisings throughout Northern Africa and parts of the Middle East. Ben has traveled to seven different countries and hopes to keep adding to that list.
Ben is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Don’t be surprised to see him wearing black and gold on Saturdays. He graduated with a degree in Radio/Television journalism.
Ben is thrilled to call Northwest Arkansas home. He’s excited to explore the beautiful hills and trails throughout the Natural State. As a native Minnesotan, Ben is still getting used to the hot summers, but really looks forward to the warmer winters!
