Frew's Bridal was AMAZING! My sister lives out of town I went in as Bride by proxy since we are close to the same size. They had no problems with doing that and letting me take pictures and send to my sister! The prices were amazing! Some of the plus size dresses were cheaper than the bridesmaid dresses! When she found her dream dress they did everything in their power to make sure the dress was perfect! And it was! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience! I amiss bringing my sister is law there for her weeding! I recommend Frew's to everyone!

Up until now frews was great to deal with. My fiancé went in for her final dress fitting and sat there for an hour as many of the employees tried to cover up a lie that they were literally making the alterations as she was waiting. Finally when they were ready, the dress fit worse than the previous fitting. We will never go back here after catching the employees in a lie and then blaming it on the other employee.

My mom, two sisters, my Mamaw, and step dad came with me to Frew's to try and find my wedding dress. We drove 4 hours. When I got there I was treated wonderfully, the lady helping me was super nice, and I even found my wedding dress! I got all "jacked" up with my dress and my mom said she wanted to order everything, the dress and all the accessories that I had on. We paid the deposit to get the dress ordered. When we got there three weeks ago to get my dress, at first they couldn't find my dress and then finally found it after sending three people to look for it. Then they couldn't find the accessories. Found out that even though the girl who had helped me showed us she ordered them, she never did. After an hour of waiting for them to find everything the manager came to help us and was absolutely rude and kept saying that we "didn't communicate fully with our sales associate the first time" like it was our fault she didn't understand "We want to buy it all". Went to try on my dress to make sure it fit correctly, the manager barely tied the dress and rushed us to get it all. If it's not your first time there they treat you terribly. Then, I had my first alterations fitting this week and found out they did my measurements wrong and my dress is 2 1/2 sizes too big. So now I'll be spending just as much in alterations as I did in buying the dress. Just make sure you check everything at least three times. The only positive experience I had was my mom bought me a beautiful dress. I can't wait to get my accessories and be done with this place!

To start, we drove an hour to come to Frew's Bridal- we made the appointment with the owner at the Ameristar Bridal Show and never changed the date or time once we made the appointment. When we showed up, we never got greeted or asked if we needed help. So I went up to the counter and they said they updated the scheduling program and my fiancé was no longer on the schedule/books. In the meantime, she took us men to the "man cave" which was nothing more than a white room with a couch and tv. So we left and went next door to a restaurant. I immediately got a text from my fiancé saying she wanted to leave and didn't like it already. IF YOU HAVE A BUDGET, DO NOT GO TO FREW'S! After waiting for someone to help her, an employee finally said "Well you don't have an appointment and I don't have a client right now that I know of so I guess I can help you!" As if it were a hassle. Our budget was under $500 which Frew's owner said he had a bunch of dresses below that price. She continued to bring dresses to her that were outside of our budget and didn't match the style she told her she wanted. She then suggested getting a bridesmaid dress in white as it would then be in our budget. We are very displeased with the service and the way the owner talked it up to be some great place with dresses for those with a budget and a cool man cave. Don't waste your time- terrible customer service.

I absolutely love Frew’s Bridal in Alton, IL. They have so many different bridal dresses and designers. My best friend and I both bought our wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses there. However, I will say that once you have paid and come back to pick up your dress, there is no appointment needed so you are kind of treated second hand because it is more or less a first-come-first-served basis. And, unfortunately, we ended up having a major mishap with the bridesmaid dresses, but Frew’s was very understanding and considerate; compensation was appropriate. I only wish it could have been caught before my wedding day but I will say I was VERY pleased with how the situation was handled. I won’t go into specifics but I will say if you order a Mori Lee dress, triple check the order and make sure they all arrive correctly.

My daughter went there for a dress for a wedding she is in. She is 8 months pregnant and she was not told there would be an extra charge for alterations. She was overwhelmed yesterday and while getting fitted for the dress the lady kept talking to my daughter and my daughter kept expressing that she felt overwhelmed. She told the lady that was working on her dress several times that she was feeling like she was going to pass out. Well the lady didn't listen and my daughter had a panic attach. When she plopped in the chair cause she couldn't stand anymore then did get her water. Myself being her mother, was so upset about the situation. I spoke to a young lady there and she had no idea this happened. She put me on the phone with Sara. Sara was very nice and very professional the whole time I was talking. I did get quit upset and she called me back yesterday and said the owner offered us 15% off the alterations for the problem. I expressed to her that we didnt want to come back to a place like that and we just wanted a refund on the dress. The dress was ordered to big and the alterations were going to be 140.00 along with the dress being 250.00. Which was not explained to my daughter either. I get a call today from Aron the owner. Not sure how you spell her name and really do not care at this point. I have been in this area for 47 years and never had problems with a local business. She was the most rude person I have ever spoke with. She spoke over the top of me and was very very rude. She seemed to almost mock me in what I was saying. She said she is not going to do anything but give a 15% discount. What I would say is if you are looking for a good experience with a dress dont go there. I am sorry to Sara she should be the owner not Aaron for sure. It was such a bad feeling hearing my daughter so upset yesterday after how she was treated. Just FYI and I will continue to spread this everywhere I can so no one has to feel the way she did yesterday.

I had great expectations of Frew's before we went. I had met the owners at the Stl Bridal Show and liked them a lot, but unfortunately had a horrible experience for my first dress shopping trip. I got a bad vibe right from the beginning. There was one person at the front desk as we walked in. Felicia asked what we were there for and when we said we had an appointment for trying on dresses, she ran upstairs to find someone to help. When she came back downstairs she told me and my family we could start looking around because she couldn't leave the desk alone (right after she just did to go upstairs). She then came back and said she was going to pull some dresses and help me into them. After getting started and we all got a feel of what I was looking for, my family attempted to find more dresses while I was away in the dressing room, only to get their "hand slapped" by Felicia when they pulled something. She should have given us more guidance before the appointment if we weren't supposed to do certain things. Her attitude was all wrong the entire appointment. She was trying way to hard to pretend she was on a TV show. She never once asked about the style of my wedding or my fiance or the venue. Even if I had found THE dress that night, it seemed she had already decided we were not buying anything at that time. She kept saying that she would give us notes so we could look online at home or when we went somewhere else. Never did she say, when we came back there to look again.

I highly recommend this site for purchasing bridesmaid dresses. I've now purchased three from them over the last couple years, all at least $5 (if not $10-$15) less than buying directly from the designer/bridal shop. Free and fast processing/shipping. I highly recommend! And for some designers they have a $10 off Facebook coupon.
