One of the best Italian restaurants in town. Atmosphere is great for parties and not too formal. The venison loin was absolutely delicious, as was the cheese plate. Definitely try one of the pizzas or something with their prosciutto di parma. While it is expensive, it is definitely worth the price.

The margherita pizza, was awfully !!! I herd so much a about it, I cant believe it!! one thing was the staff all stared and made us feel uncomfortable. We go in and the hostess said i can help you!!!! with condescending remark!! we just got out of the doctor visit (Thomas Jefferson hospital) now I can celebrity my 5 year being cancer free!! Every time I dine at Osteria I am never disappointed. The attention to detail that goes into everything you're served makes each meal a special occasion. If your looking for a perfect wood fired pizza, an authentic rustic pasta dish, or a very untypical selection of meats, you'll find them here. Expect the unexpected when dining at Osteria, from incredible cheese selections and homemade breads to gelatos and even triple filtered sparkling waters made on premise with an imported Italian processor, you'll be wowed! Dollar for dollar the experience is well worth it! Take it from a Chef, this is your destination for fine Italian Dining!

I went here for a birthday in the summer of 2013 and expected something better. We sat in the sunroom area where there was plenty of room and quiet. We ordered a good amount of food ranging from the veggie tray to the pizza w/ egg. The pizza was decent, but I've had pizza from corner pizza shops that taste better and the pasta dish was average, but pricey. I can't seem to figure out what the buzz is about this overpriced place where the quality is lacking. The roast pig was nothing to brag about as the pig was slightly bigger than a fetal pig you cut open for biology class. The skin on the pig was too overdone and the meat was lacking and fatty. I was so excited for the pig at first, but after eating it I regret the decision. If you have a chance to decide between Osteria and McDonald's, you're better off saving the $500 and getting a quarter-pounder. The food's quality wasn't worth the price.

The don of Italian Cooking, Marc Vetris Osteria, is my new favorite place in the country right now. His team is so good at making you feel like you just stepped into a place in Bologna or Parma. The only part, is I think it produces better food than anything that I have ever had in Italy, and they do it w/ style and complete respect for the country that inspires the cuisine. On the menu, anything and everything, w/ pastas not to be missed or the veal belly that is smoked is one dish that I cannot forget and think about at least daily. The deserts and gelato should not be overlooked as well.
