Trees upon trees - sounds like a Dr. Seuss book. Here is one very rare example of a tree growing on top of another (Mulberry tree below with a Cherry on top!) with both surviving and doing well.

This is from a website that sells an unusual product - biodegradable urns for cremains (human or pet) with a pod on top with soil and the tree seed of your choice, so your loved one can continue in the circle of life. Just bury the urn in a good spot, make sure it gets water and sunlight, and the ashes will help the tree grow, making a nice, "Green," long lived monument (of sorts). I think it is a nice idea, I may even get one for my amputated leg's ashes (one foot in the grave, indeed).

I think the company (Urnabios) should use my idea for their business slogan - "ashes to ashes … but with us it can be ashes to Ash!"

However, I've found that those in the funerary lines of work tend not to share my sense of humor when it comes to death related subjects (grave, for sure), a pity. Certainly, (for the record) death is a sad, often devastating, experience for those still living, but I feel that along with the gamut of emotions and actions mortality usually evokes, there can be a time and place for levity as well. IMHO

Okay, this idiotic Fox story needed a rant, so here it is. I've said my peace, I'm not going to respond to anyone, just too busy.
