My go to fav sushi place that's good every time. All the time. Has to be one of the best quality to price ratio spots. Sashimi deluxe with brown rice. Never fails. If ure early (aka lucky) enough, get the yellowtail collar. The bacon scallops will make u mmm. Also try the yuzu ice cream...just do it.

Worth the wait. This place is popular and cramped, but the crowd outside moves in pretty quickly, and the sushi is high in quality and low in price. Wait staff is attentive despite packed house. Best sushi I've had in the East Village - and no loud sake-bombing atmosphere as in many of the 1st Avenue spots.

Great value for the high quality sushi that you will find here at Takahachi. My wife and i have been coming weekly for over 15 years. We prefer the East Village location because of the healthy buzz of patrons. Sushi for Two is a great value! You won't be disappointed.

A dependable sushi place in the East Village. Good sushi/sashimi; solid sake choices at affordable prices. The only downside is the popularity. Expect 30-45 minute wait on Fridays and Saturdays.
