There's no question that some people are multi-talented. They often have to make a difficult choice as to which talent to cultivate andTom McDermott is beloved in New Orleans as one of its most accomplished pianists and arrangers but his sense of humor just can't be stopped. He has broken away from music for a quick venture into humorous poetry and charmingly witty drawings. He proves that one CAN do it all.

Sam Price hails from the tremendously popular Honey Island Swamp Band. With this, his newest project, Price offers a more intimate narrative with songs such as "Where I Want To Be" while staying true to his funky, gritty Southern Louisiana style.

Twerk Thompson has assembled a mighty cast of New Orleans jazz players to record a collection of traditional jazz. The studio engineers brilliantly recreated the sound of vintage recordings from the American Classics label. It's a delightful and touching work.

At Louisiana Music Factory we celebrate all genres of music but we're particularly tickled when a stunning traditional jazz recording hits the street. Smoking Time Jazz Club has a new album titles "Aint We Fortunate" and it's New Orleans sound at its best.

Start 2017 off right with great music.  Seva Venet and his all-star New Orleans band have release a a collection of classic New Orleans jazz that is playful, funky and fun.  Above all, the musicians on this recording are top-notch.  "Musieu Bainjo" features Greg Stafford, Kid Chocolate and Dr. Michael White among its stellar lineup.  This will get you dancing!

The Tangiers Combo of New Orleans has a new offering.  "Are You In the Mood?" is an exquisite and eclectic instrumental jazz album that moves from Parisian classics to Latin pieces.  Delightful!
