Now that fluer de ble is closed this is my favorite breakfast in the area. They have a full breakfast menu with mexican and American options. Tortillas are amazing. Best caldo I have ever had. Good service and chill environment.

I called about a week ago to schedule what I thought would be a day of pampering. I wanted to get my hair cut and colored, eyebrows waxed, and a pedicure. They originally scheduled me at 4PM for all of that when they close at 6PM. I called back the next day and asked them to please give me more time with the stylist because I have thick hair and want all over color and highlights. So they scheduled me at 3PM and told me I was never scheduled for cut/color the first time I called. Vicky did my hair/color/eyebrows. I told her I wanted strawberry blonde hair and showed her pictures of how I have had it colored in the past. I had naturally big curls and brown hair past my shoulders which I wanted cut short for summer. She started weaving in color and I noticed she was leaving out big chunks of hair. I brought it up and she said she had it. I ended up with blonde highlights in brown hair. No strawberry and tons of brown left. My highlights don't even go to my scalp. Looks like I had my hair died at ProCuts. Bad highlights are very obvious on short hair. While she was coloring my hair my phone started to ring. I looked and it was Plush Salon calling. I told Vicky and it turns out they were calling because I didn't make my hair appointment that was supposedly not scheduled! WTF. Then while she was cutting my hair we had a long conversation about how when I blow dry my hair it gets huge and looks awful. I told her I have to use a ceramic straightener. She then proceeded to blow dry my hair and never used a ceramic straightener. I have now washed and styled my hair 3 times. She cut the top layer of my hair on the right side two inches short, left the middle layer long, and cut the bottom layer to my hair line. There is no way to part the hair that can cover it up. It is an absolute disaster. I cannot think of what to do other than to have it cut into a pixie cut. With the original styling I looked like Ricki Lake in Hairspray. After I styled it myself, I realized half of my hair was a mullet and the other half was just diherrea of different lengths that made no sense. I told her I felt I was a bit hairspray looking during the cut and I asked her to please cut it more and make it more layered. She ended up cutting one side a bit more then rushing me over to wax my eyebrows which she didn't even spot pluck then rushed me to the "pedicure" spot. Juana did my "pedicure". Which she did well, but I am used to a more accommodating and pampered pedicure. Her tools had not come out of sanitized packages and she kept spritzing them with some solution. Most foot diseases can only be killed with heat, so I was pretty repulsed. They had me sitting in a rolling chair and my feet in a plastic tub that was full of water and seemed to be vibrating. I am tall and have long legs. It was painfully cramped pulling my foot out to put on her lap and the chair kept rolling away. About half way through my pedicure a girl came up and told me I need to pay because Vicky "wanted to get out of here". I was thinking "I want to get out of here too". I dug out my card and was told that they only take cash or check. I told them that they could have told me that the two times I called and told them it was my first time coming. Her response was to go to the gas station on the corner and get cash. Okay... Juana rushed me through my pedicure then gave me directions to the gas station. They had no drying lights (which is pretty odd for a supposed "spa"). She also did not have toe separators, she just weaved a paper towel between my toes. So of course on the way to the gas station I ruined my pedi. While I was there, I saw them do multiple old lady's fluffy hair well. Also tons of long haired girls in for "just a trim", highlights, or ombre. They seemed to handle that well. If you have short hair or want anything cutting edge or cool seasonal hair colors, I would not recommend Plush.
