Yet unproven, but still exciting news for the wine industry. A scientist from California claims that pulsed electric fields can accelerate the aging process of wine. Grapes that are exposed to electric fields are said to have less microbes and also the yield increases. Theoretically, wine can reach its full potential much faster with help of this technology. Expensive storage costs would become obsolete.
