I thought the ncaa punished schools by reducing athletic scholarships if they did not graduate their scholarship players. has Kentucky graduate any of their basketball players since calipari got there?

The NCAA continues to actively look into allegations of possible misconduct by Kentucky freshman Skal Labissiere's guardian, interviewing a former Memphis AAU coach just this week, CBS Sports has learned.
Jack Britton, the NCAA's Assistant Director of Amateurism, Complex Case Review, interviewed and emailed a former Memphis AAU coach this week, which proves the NCAA is still actively looking into allegations of possible misconduct by Skal Labissiere's guardian.

Bryant assistant Chris Burns has come out as gay in a column he wrote for Outsports, which makes him the first openly gay coach in Division I men's basketball history.

Gonzaga senior Kyle Wiltjer is the CBS Sports Preseason National Player of the Year.
Kyle Wiltjer averaged 16.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists last season while shooting 54.0 percent from the field, 46.6 percent from 3-point range and 78.9 percent from the free throw line. He led Gonzaga to a 35-3 record.

This week's ‪#‎InsideCollegeHoops‬ column that I write for CBS Sports starts on an unheralded student caught in eligibility limbo because of BYU -- features notes on Kansas, Maryland and Michigan State -- then closes with an explanation on why people using SMU's punishment as a launching pad for criticizing the NCAA is nonsensical, at this point.
Jeremiah Worthem has done all the work to graduate from junior college. But BYU won't release his grade from an online course so that he can graduate. And now the North Carolina Central student might need the NCAA to step in and help.

College basketball's dirty little secret is that the majority of highly accomplished coaches have historically run programs that operate in violation of NCAA rules. SMU's Larry Brown is but the latest example. I explained in this column for CBS Sports.
There are only six active Hall of Fame coaches in college basketball. Two of them will be serving suspensions for NCAA violations this season, a third is awaiting punishment after a lengthy investigation, and a fourth has two vacated Final Fours. What does this say about this sport?

North Carolina is No. 1 in the CBS Sports Preseason Top 25 (and one) college basketball rankings.
UNC returns its top four scorers -- and every rotation player except J.P. Tokoto -- from a team that finished 26-12 and won five of its last seven games. Kentucky, Kansas, Maryland and Virginia round out the top five of the preseason rankings.

This weeks ‪#‎InsideCollegeHoops‬ column that I write for CBS Sports leads on why Rick Pitino's future at the University of Louisville has never been more uncertain -- then features notes on Gonzaga University, the University of Maryland and the University of Wisconsin-Madison -- and closes by explaining why Bryant University assistant Chris Burns announcing he's gay is an awesome thing and big deal.
Louisville president James Ramsey noticeably stopped short of supporting Rick Pitino in a statement released Thursday, leaving some to wonder if the Hall of Fame coach will actually survive allegations that a staff member he hired secured escorts for players and recruits.

Maryland basketball coach Mark Turgeon was on lots of "Hot Seat" lists last preseason. His son, at one point, even asked him if he was going to be fired. But now look. Turgeon is still employed, coming off of a 28-win season, and he's got a team good enough to make the Final Four. With this in mind, I visited Maryland recently to figure out how Turgeon went from there to here. This story published at CBS Sports is the result of that trip.
Meet Mark Turgeon, the man who escaped the clutches of the hot seat to turn Maryland into the country's potential No. 1 team.

Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown will be suspended for 30 percent of SMU's games this season -- and his Mustangs are getting a postseason ban for the season -- because of an NCAA investigation that uncovered rules violations, a source confirmed to CBS Sports.
