What do you think of the new speed limit in Belfast?

Belfast trials new 20 mph speed limit
Drivers in Belfast city centre are being restricted to maximum speeds of 20 mph as part of a pilot scheme.
Reduced speed limits are being trialled in the area in an effort to improve road safety and reduce the number of accidents.
Pilots are also being carried out in Newtownabbey, Ballynahinch, Ballymena and Ballycastle and officials are stressing it should not lead to journey times going up.
Roy Gordon of Transport Northern Ireland commented: "The longest length of this zone is 700 metres and the difference between driving that at 30 mph and 20 mph is just over 20 seconds."

Parents who drink-drive 'inadvertently encouraging children to do the same'

Young motorists are more likely to drink while intoxicated if they have seen their parents do the same, a new study has revealed.
According to research by Churchill Car Insurance, just 14 per cent of drivers aged between 17 and 25 who have not seen their parents drink-driving have committed this offence.
By contrast, 70 per cent of those who have seen their parents get behind the wheel while drunk have taken to the road while intoxicated.

Foodies who are keen to get the latest gadgets into their kitchen have been urged to make sure they are properly insured.
According to a survey of property developers and kitchen designers by Direct Line, demand for gadgets such as wine coolers, boiling water taps, induction hobs and built-in steam ovens has soared over the last year.
Many have also seen growing demand for specialised materials, such as marble worktops and concrete sinks, among consumers.

Consumers 'happy to shop around for insurance'

Consumers are far more willing to shop around for insurance policies than they will for other services, a new survey has found.
According to the Association of British Insurers (ABI), more than three-quarters of people have researched the market when buying car insurance.
By contrast, less than two-thirds will research the market when purchasing a new mobile phone contract.

Northern Ireland only region to see car insurance premiums fall

Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK to see a drop in car insurance premiums over the last year.
According to figures from the AA, the cost of cover has gone up by an average of 4.8 per cent during 2015 - which means it costs almost £26 more than it did a year ago.
This was fuelled largely by a 6.5 per cent rise in car insurance premiums in Scotland, but increases were recorded in nearly every other part of the UK as well.

Pet owners have been urged to be mindful of the risk posed by wild mushroom and conkers throughout the autumn months.

According to MORE TH>N, poisonous varieties grow in many forests, woodland spaces and parks.

Furthermore, it noted that nearly eight in ten gardens across the UK include plants that are poisonous to domestic pets.

The insurance provider has therefore warned of the risk that could be presented now autumn has arrived, as wild mushrooms will sprout up and horse chestnut conkers are falling to the ground.

What drives you to distraction?

More than one in five drivers have accidentally shunted another car in the rear because they were not concentrating, a new study has revealed.
According to research by Admiral, 22 per cent have collided with the vehicle in front as a result of being distracted.
In addition, nearly one in four people surveyed admitted to nearly veering off the road because they were not concentrating.
