I know this is going to sound harsh, but I'm gonna be as honest as possible.
Michael Jackson. Lou Reed. Marilyn Monroe. Bruce Lee. Ritsuko Okazaki. And now Paul Walker. All but one I admire, adore, even respect. All of them are dead.
And yet the world moves on.
Truth be told, death is scary to many people, while for others, it could be a sign of rebirth.
With that said, there is no hate here. I was no fan of Mr Walker, or the Fast and Furious series (never got the appeal of them, or cared, really.) But it is sad he died in an accident.
I understand that Paul Walker died. People die all the time. But while paying respects and condolences is one thing, there are many others who go way too far like the man was God, or some kind of demigod or saint. My point is that he was human, like everyone else, last I checked. Making it more than it is is going too far IMO.
I know, this is coming from a Goth. But I have to say I know when to live my life, find comfort and beauty in the darkness, and pay my respects to the deceased. When someone goes as far as to placate a celebrity's death over one of a friend, family member, or loved one, I have to wonder where your priorities lie. Just sayin'.
With that said, May Paul Walker rest in peace.
