There's just so much greatness in this photo. A Cincinnati Bengals fan, first highlighted in a Deadspin post, showed up to Bengals camp with a full six back of beer tied into his beard. He's giving some love to Bengals … Continue reading →

With the help of the Kepler spacecraft, astronomers calculate the number of habitable Earth-like planets in the Goldilocks zone -- not too hot, not too cold.

To determine whether or not Eidos has grounds to call itself "superhuman" I forced the gear to undergo rigorous, yet fair, questioning and testing. Me: Eidos, the word "superhuman" designates some sort of skill or trait enhancement that the average--

Mark and his team of roofers were quick, efficient, and did great work. I solicited 3 quotes to replace the entire roof of our house we recently bought. I ended up choosing to go with New Image because Mark and his wife came out in-person, explained their quote to me, and made me confident in their company's ability to perform the work we needed at the quality we expected. Mark's team finished the vast majority of the work on our two story house in one day; they finished early in the morning of the second day. I walked my roof after they were done and was genuinely impressed with the quality of the work, and I have no doubt the roof will last for many years to come. We only had one minor issue over the course of the project, but Mark resolved the issue quickly in a professional manner. In my opinion, you can tell great companies from good/regular ones by the way they handle issues. New Image Roofing is a great company with great people, and I will hire them to do any roofing I may need done in the future. I highly recommend Mark and New Image Roofing.

This place is very nice. We only had the breakfast, but it was very good. They also serve dinner, but we were looking to explore other places in the area. The decor was great. Our room was spacious and cozy. Stevenswood also offers quiet when you want it. We used the hot tub and found ourselves reading from time to time. Service was also nice. The people who run Stevenswood are polite and ready to help.

This place is very good. It's a sports bar, so act accordingly. Patterson's is a welcome reprieve from the other restaurants in Mendocino village. It was busy on the night we were there, and we enjoyed the energy in the place. Despite how busy it was, our server was polite and fast. The food was good too, good bar food. The BLAT sandwich was legit. Beer selection was respectable, so no complaints there either. Try it out.

It's often been said of fishing that the only difference between a good trip and a great trip is catching fish. Well, we had a GREAT trip with Hans. We were just one Mackinaw shy of limiting out between the three of us fishing. The boat was ready and waiting when we arrived, and Hans was on-point with his knowledge and very friendly. We took the early morning trip; it was worth it just to see the sunrise from the water. We started catching fish and all the morning grogginess was a thing of the past. Hans cut and deboned the fish. We cooked some of the Mackinaw the very next day. It was delicious. All in all, you should definitely book a trip with Hans.

This place is great. One of the few places in Mendocino village that has a good selection of cigars. They also have some very nice glass pieces - some from a local artist. The woman working the store when I was there was very nice and personable.

We know our pizza, and the pizza at Piaci is awesome. We ordered a little too much, but, come on, left over pizza is good too. We got two pizzas that had caramelized onions on them - a unique topping that we enjoyed. The "Farmers" and the "Genoa," if I remember correctly. The beer selection was outstanding, and the server was nice enough to allow my wife to taste a couple wines before selecting one. She thought all the wines were great, which speaks to Piaci's wine selection as well. The server was a nice guy, and he was timely. The restaurant itself was cool, and we really liked it - but may not be for everyone. It was warm, a little on the small side, and decorated with an eccentric flare. I really liked some of the "trippy" art on the walls. All in all, this place is great and worth checking out if you enjoy great pizza and more of a local vibe.
