We used Casual Casual Candids for our wedding on January 2, 2016 at Holly Hedge Estate. Amazing photographers!!!!!! We initially met with Joyce, the owner, and really felt she would ensure we'd get the experience we wanted. The venue itself is very picturesque and after meeting with Joyce (the owner) and both photographers a few weeks before we felt really good about the first look and other pictures we would get. Joyce is very proactive is ensuring the everyone is on the same page with the day-of itinerary (knowing that things do come up) and very prompt in responding. The contract pricing was very straight forward and competitively priced (and worth every penny). Corinne and Wendy were our day-of photographers and absolutely AMAZING. They were extremely professional, friendly and an absolutely awesome pair to work with. Like all art forms photography is open to interpretation so I'd encourage anyone looking for a wedding photographer to be respectful but very honest about what types of photos you like - close-ups, wide angle, more landscape, etc. Casual Candids was extremely accommodating about getting the shots we wanted such as shots at a nearby bridge and after-party shots of the cigar hour. I had found a bunch of photos from previous weddings at the venue and the photographers didn't seem to mind recreating them. Best of all Joyce sent me two great photos within TWO days of the wedding and had mailed us a thumb drive with all the thousands of photos (all with minor photo editing done) just five days after the wedding. I was absolutely shocked they turned them around so fast. Highly recommend them especially if you're planning to get married at Holly Hedge.

I'm not from the area so I relied on a recommendation from our photographer (Candid Casuals) and I couldn't stop thanking them! Overall I felt ALL the salons around New Hope were extremely expensive and some of the others were asking us to sign contracts 6 months in advance with 5+ page contracts, all which I just found absurd. I thought David J Witchell was no exception but much more reasonable. I paid $110 for hair and $55 for make-up + $25 for lashes. The makeup was the most professional and well done I've ever received and I think most of the wedding party would agree. Overall I loved my experience at David J. Witchell and felt for the overall experience, flexible contract setup, and end result it was worth the money. And it's the only time I've seen all the wedding party all LOVE their hair and makeup. After getting to the salon and seeing how professional and well run it was most of the party (moms included) ended up wanting to get hair and makeup (most had only booked one or the other). The salon was able to accommodate and keep us right on schedule. They also let us drink mimosas which helped kick off the day. I wouldn't change a thing if I had to do it over again. Highly recommend them.

There's really no other vendor you should be considering. Bob is amazing and will absolutely ensure a good day that meets what you envisioned. Here's a more detailed review: After meeting with Bob once we knew it was a perfect match. We explained our budget and vision and he even hoped on the piano at one point to see if we liked a certain genre of music. He was energetic and really seemed to understand how we could make the whole night flow within our budget. We agreed to do two hours of instrumental for the ceremony and cocktail (a violinist and pianist - on the keyboard) followed by CJ as our DJ with lighting (subtle though given the rustic setting of our venue). Ceremony and Cocktail: They were so open minded and it was amazing. They played everything from Hall and Oats to Adele, an old school Nsync song, the Beatles and even Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix (processional). I ended up really falling in love with so many instrumental versions of songs in prep that I'd strongly encourage you to check it out as an option. He shortened the songs to accommodate the shorter aisle so the best parts could still get played. This was one of the best benefits of doing live music for the ceremony - on the fly adjustments. Most telling... SO many people recognized the songs played in their instrumental versions and it added something very cool and unique to the wedding. As Bob stressed from the beginning he wanted everyone to leave the cocktail being able to say, "I knew that XXX song..." and everyone did - from young to old and various music genre lovers. Reception: The DJ through Bob Egan Entertainment was CJ and he was superb. He even had a glass of champagne ready to go following speeches and consulted us on how to lay out the reception to ensure we got to enjoy the wedding and get some really good dance shots. There seriously isn't one thing change AT ALL!!! Great transitions, very accommodating to our very vast and somewhat particular music tastes. VERY affordable, extremely flexible, professional and very easy to work with. Don't look anywhere else!

Maryanne completed all our flowers for the wedding at Holly Hedge Estate - from bouquets to ceremony decor to centerpieces and wedding cake flowers. Her knowledge about the venue and experience is absolutely unmatched and she was very sensitive to our budget and limitations. Unlike other vendors we met with she was quick to explain that since our wedding would be over the holiday the venue would have a lot of their own decor already completed and she provided us with some ideas on table layout. This saved us at least $1,500. Like any vendor the more details and info you provide the better result you'll receive. Maryanne was especially open and willing to look at pinterest photos (many of them if needed) to get a good sense for the style and vibe you are hoping to accomplish. One of the things I found most incredible was her ability to change the decor we had originally agreed to for the ceremony site on the day of the wedding due to decor left up from a previous wedding that we adored and had decided to keep during the rehearsal. She didn't miss a beat and the venue staff continued to reassured us Maryanne always got it right and we didn't have a thing to worry about it. The bouquets were outstanding and the centerpieces were one of a kind. I really can't recommend Carousel Flowers enough as our experience was spectacular.
