Another "real world" take on the user experience of many eCommerce sites. I love how obvious mistakes look when put in this context. #ux

Welcome to the website advice community - thanks for checking it out. Please join using the button above to become a web ninja!

I'll be sharing answers to questions clients ask and tips I think might help you run your website. It would be great if you can add your own tips and topics too.

I'm guesing we'll be covering subjects like site optimisation, PPC advertising (adwords etc), domain names, hosting, CMS, social media and all the other things that go into having your own website and maximising it's benefit.

If you have any questions about your own site or tips you want to share with others please post it here using the groups on the left. If you'd like to become a moderator, just let me know.

Its been a while since I used @hootsuite (switched to Tweetdeck & @bufferapp ) but the integration with Google+ looks great.

Even more reason to make sure your smartphone optimised website is optimised!
As part of today’s announcement, Google is also introducing a feature called “Skip Redirect for Smartphone-Optimized Pages.” You can see the the new Googlebot-Mobile user agent in the story below.

I've just recorded a quick tip for those of you that like to validate whether you're using the best search engine for your personal tastes. In it, I show you how to set up Blekko's "3 engine monte" as the default search engine in Chrome so that you can easily compare how many times Google is better (or not!) than the others.

In my unscientific experiments so far it looks like Google is winning about 60-75% of the time, followed by Blekko and then Bing.

Give a try - I think you'll like it.
