Hi All,+David Hewlett
talking about Australian films suddenly gave me the idea that with the exhausting knowledge of the internet maybe someone out there can help me. About 10+ years ago I saw an Australian film that I loved but I have no idea what it is called so I can't watch it again. Can you help me??
An electronics genius lives alone (pretty sure there is a train set that goes out the window and back in again) and a bank robber comes to rent a room from him and they end up friends and there is a girl who I think is another bank robber and I can't remember which one she ends up with but either way they are like a misfit family now.
Then the geek finds out they are bank robbers and helps the bank robbers pull off a job and it goes like this: There are rubbish bins that are radio controlled that have little wheels pop out the bottom of them and the money they stole is in the bins and these bins are moving all over the building making thier way to our herovillians. Like budget R2D2's.
I'm also pretty sure that the last scene is after another bank job; security rush out the bank to find the bank robbers but can't see anything on the San Fransisco roads and the camera cuts to our three herovillians huddled on a tiny piece of a makeshift tram with only the back still on to hide them from the view of the cops as they look like a fully fledged tram from thier angle as they make their get away at 5 miles an hour.
