It was busy when we went. Our waitress didn't greet us. The salmon roe tasted awful. I love sushi. Salmon roe is my favorite thing to order at any Japanese restaurant. It was warm and had an old taste to it. My sushi, a basic tuna roll, was also warm and didn't taste right. The waitress never refilled our water. One waitress stuck her hand, without a glove, into the ginger and put it on a guests plate. Gross! I wanted to go because the reviews on the walls and board said it was voted one of the top places to eat sushi in Asheville. I wish I would've walked up the street. The waitress said she'd get the manager to speak to us. The manager never came but they did take off the ikura (salmon roe). I will never go back there if I move here. Horrible service, horrible food. :(

Went early in the afternoon. Ordered the tuna dumplings at the sushi bar. Blew my mind. Friendly staff too

The sign outside said "Best sushi in WNC." If that's the case, its only because there isn't much competition. The miso soup was good an the hibachi was tasty, but the sushi was a little suspect. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

There last night for the first time. Sushi was very fresh and tuna tataki was done right (simply). Service was quick and efficient which I rarely find in a sushi joint. A little on the pricey side, but overall very good. Thank You.

When I want good sushi I always come here. Always sit at the bar to get the seaweed salad. Sushi has always been good. Try the spicy tuna roll and ask them to add mango.

Terrible experience I left 2 hours ago with some friends for my birthday. The sushi was warm and some pieces a bit slimey. We spent way too much to have such a terrible experience, I've now spent 30 minutes in a bathroom nervous to stand up and my friends have been puking the same.

I've been coming here for years and have always been happy with not only the sushi, but also the service. They are especially accommodating to special celebrations - I have had a birthday party, a graduation party, an anniversary (which started somewhere else, actually, but we couldn't resist the sudden urge for spicy tuna rolls and plum wine), and more. Overall my favorite Asheville sushi place.
