Not one, not two, but THREE craft coffeehouses in a city the size of Lille--I was impressed.

Cafeine Coffee serves mostly beans from local roaster Coffee Makers, but I was able to try a pretty good roast from Cafe Lomi in Paris.

The cafe is not huge, but if you can grab it, there is a counter towards the back, next to the outlet, as well as wifi. I enjoyed the ample sunlight coming in from both windows, and the staff were quite friendly--when I mentioned that I was in town for the Scrabble world championship, the barista joked about how he was the French champion.

The championship moves from country to country every year, but I hope that it returns to Lille one day so I can rewisit these cafes.
