When I drove through Charleston right before Christmas, I first stopped in at Black Tab, even though I'd been there before, because I had not tried their own roast switched from Counter Culture. While chatting with a barista about other local coffee options, they mentioned Mercantile and Mash, which was on my way up towards Myrtle Beach, so I popped in to see what they had to offer.

The coffee on the menu that morning was the same roast that I'd just enjoyed at Black Tap, so I decided to hold off, BUT I could not resist trying one of the biscuits that I saw in the display, and it was DELISH!!!

This space is quite pretty, a combination of a restaurant, cafe, and market, and I look forward to returning soon and actually trying the coffee.

I'd also like to bring Lisa Brown, because I think she would love this cafe.
