Pineapples and Pearls does not open until 8 AM, so when I peered through the window of the locked door, I was a little puzzled by how tiny the space was. Their website says that they are also a restaurant, and I did not see enough space for that, but as it turns out, they do have more seating in the back.

The coffee bar space, though tiny, is really pretty, with that minimalist wibe that I enjoy. They do have outlets and wifi, which is ironic given that there really isn't space to hang out.

Anyway, filter coffee-wise they serve the Stowaway blend from Lancaster Coffee, and while I typically eschew blends, this one is pretty good. All the baristas seemed really friendly, and there was one who chatted with me at length about coffee, but, alas, she will be gone in s few weeks.
