Since I began pursuing indie coffee in 2011, I'd rolled through Edmonton twice prior to this trip, without having the time to find any shops other than Starbucks, but this time around I had some time to spare, so after Iconoklast, I popped into Transcend before heading out of the city.

Smallish space, but they do have a (small) parking lot, outlets, and wifi. They roast their own beans and offer pour over, but I went with a drip coffee of a Peruvian bean that was decent enough.

Friendly baristas and a pleasant wibe, with lots of natural lighting filling the modest space--I'd like to come back when I have the time.
