A Cup of Common Wealth gets my top recommendation, and becomes a mandatory stop when in Lexington, for the simple reason that they serve Coava Coffee Roasters, my single favourite roaster in the entire world!!!

While the Chemex of Kilenso, using a paper filter, was not exactly the same as what I've experience at Coava's shop in Portland, it was still quite a pleasant surprise to get to try a Coava filter coffee again after so long, since last September. I think I had a Americano using Coava at Espress a Mano in Pittsburgh, but I was not feeling that brew

Anyway, the recently-expanded Cup of Common Wealth is a cute little shop, with plenty of seating, outlets, wifi, and easy metered parking outside.

The barista who made my coffee was extremely friendly and eager to talk to me about their coffee, and I look forward to returning.

Not only are these guys a multi-roaster, but they have a wider selection that most shops I've encounter. Besides Coava, Cuvee, Stumptown, Intelligentsia, Four Barrel, Quills, and Water Street, they also serve coffee from their own roaster, Magic Beans.
