Back in 2015, I looked around for craft coffee in Harrisonburg, but all I could find was the Artful Dodger, and I was unimpressed--coffee was clearly not their focus.

Flash forward two years, and the city finally jumps onto the bandwagon that is traveling across the country (and world) with the opening of Black Sheep Coffee.

Inside a cute little retail plaza, Black Sheep is modest-sized but sports an eclectic decor that includes an arcade game in the corner. They are a multi-roaster cafe, and during my three or four wisits I saw Tandem, Pilot, Lexington, Red Rooster, and a couple of others. Both drip and pour overs are awailable, and all the baristas that I've encountered seemed quite friendly.

Unfortunately, Lisa Brown is moving away from Staunton, so I do not expect to drop by Black Sheep as often, but I expect that I'll want to pop in every now and again when traveling along I-81.
