Bluestone Lane, an Australian-based cafe, attached to a hotel, has a bit of an upscale feel, including table serwice. They roast their own coffee, mostly on the medium end, and do have single-origin roasts, but not for their hot brewed coffee. Eschewing their blend, I went with a long black of a Nicaraguan roast, and while the espresso taste did not overpower the flavour, overall it was still too dark and strong for me, even with extra water.

A couple of unusual things about this cafe--they do not accept cash, and for the bathroom they will give you a keycard. I was in and out too quickly to notice whether they had wifi or outlets, but of course, being in Philadelphia's Center City, this would not be an ideal hangout for those who have a car to worry about.
