When you are at a shopping mall, you are limited to food options than what is there inside the shopping mall (unless you are willing to leave the mall and go back afterwords). We always enjoy seafood, and they had nice, large menu, so we decided to give it a try. The interesting thing about this restaurant was that, even though it was inside the shopping mall compound, but you have to go outside the building in order to get inside of the restaurant. I am not sure why they made the entrance to be only accessible from outside... I wonder what they do during a stormy day? The inside was quite large, and made the emptiness much more obvious. But since there were only couple of customers there, it was quiet. Overall, the food was decent, not great, service was not horrible, and the price was a bit high for the quality and appetizer portion. We did have some food to take home, but mainly just fries and some pieces of fish. Our waitress was nice enough, but it seemed like we were forgotten most of the time. When another table in her section came, she was sitting down with them and chatting. We felt very different treatment there...maybe they were her friends? Who knows, but it was not very professional... The restaurant was very clean and definitely a good place to hang out with a group of friends or family, since they do have the space. As for food, it was nothing really special. Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

Of the many times I have been to the Short Hills location I've had nothing but delicious meals, appetizers, and libations. It is a bit pricey, but it's Short Hills so par for the course. Wait staff varies in consistency, but any time I've sat at the bar the bartenders were very attentive.

If I could give this location 0 starts I would. I grew up and went to school in this area and had eaten at LSF before. Since I was in town and just finished doing some shopping at The Mall At Short Hills, I thought I would stop by the restaurant that used to be one of my favorites and have dinner. I was seated immediately. There was an empty table to my right and the table to my left got up soon after I was seated because they were finished. I sat at my seat for 15 minutes without a boo from a single server. Then I could see the floor manager talking it up with another table of people he seemed to know. A couple was seated on my right and immediately a water boy came over and poured them water. My glass was still empty. I was sitting right next to them and he completely ignored me. By this time I selected my libations, appetizer and meal. A couple was seated on my left and immediately a waitress comes over and gets started with her introductions. I interrupted her and asked her who is my server, I had been sitting there for 25 minutes with no service. She told me her name was Natalia and that she was my server and she didn't know I was there. I was so confused because I had seen her walking around, just not in my section. She tried to come over and take my order, but I had had it by that point. I got up and left and I plan on never going back to this location again.

Legal Seaford's food is always tasty and fresh. Service is excellent. Best of all is the fact that if you have celiac disease, you don't have to worry! The menu indicates what you can have and the kitchen adjusts many items from the regular menu so you can eat them. You do not have to forego rolls, as there are gluten free ones and they are very good. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Have gone to this restaurant several times so I know what I am talking about.

NJ Residents on the whole are Godless, insincere and disrespectful. That is strikingly apparent at most NJ restaurants, including LSF. I called to ask them a question and the server answered the phone in an annoyed manner with a patronizing scripted salutation. Based on that alone, I have no desire to frequent this restaurant for anything other than possibly takeout. Here's a piece of advice for LSF management. Love or treat others as you would like to be loved or treated. In addition to this, the words " Its not my job " shouldn't be coming out of anyones mouth who works in a restaurant. It's a team effort. Something seldom preached or practiced in the world today. @Stephanie Snipes. I know exactly what it feels like to be ignored. You should have been greeted by your server within 30 seconds, drinks should have been ordered and delivered in 2 mins and your order should have been taken in 5 mins. Those were the standards when I worked at Friendly's.

Hostess is a serious you know what!!!! The bar tenders rock and that is the only reason I didn't give a 1! Seater didn't give us menus and never came back..we had to flag someone down. This USE TO be a great mall spot, not sure what happened. The front of the house has a MAJOR attitude problem. Servers are touch and go. My advice..sit at the bar. Food is usually ok, nothing to get excited about and certainly doesn't excuse the attitude!!

Not bad at all for a chain seafood restaurant. Chain originated from the famous restaurant in Boston.
