I'm working on a timer/countdown app. One (and most important) missing thing is to notify the user about the countdown finish. I tried to use Alarm component (1) for that but it does not work properly if the timer is set to less than 1 minute or so. The better way seems to be using QtOrganizer (2) as I talk about it withsame time ago. My problem is I have no idea now to use it in pure QML app. I'd be grateful if someone could make a simple minimal example how to do that.
Properties. date : Date; daysOfWeek : DaysOfWeek; enabled : bool; error : Error; message : string; sound : url; status : Status; type : AlarmType. Methods. cancel(); reset(); save(). Detailed Description. The Alarm element encapsulates alarm event data. Supports one time and repeating alarms, ...
I have contributed to the clock app but it was the version before "reboot", so I think nothing from that code is in the app now. Also I'm of the opinion that we should not limit users just to one app for doing a given thing. Look at the Android, there's a lot of "timer" apps. Even if the functionality is the same for most of them, users can choose for example the one with design they like, or cheaper one, or one which is open source. We also should give Ubuntu users some choice :)
