We published qLabel today, an Open Source JavaScript library that let's anyone create (specific types of) content in more than 300 languages. It uses plenty of Web standards, Semantic Web technologies, Wikidata, Freebase, and all that jazz. Have fun and let me know when you use it!

This looks rather interesting. In the end, it seems to be "just" LISP with plenty of functional programming goodness, a massive and very interesting standard library (it's like the Python, but 20 years in the future), an included standard Knowledge Base, an extremely good deployment system (deploy-to-Restful-API, deploy-to-App, deploy-to-Web), a powerful command line interface (including a Natural Language to Code guesser, which alone would be quite interesting). If it were Open Source (or even just free-as-in-beer, in particular the runtime), it probably would revolutionize programming in many ways. If it comes as part of Mathematica and with its hefty prize tag, it still has a chance of making a difference.

I wrote some fiction. Has been a while. And I am trying to write English.

Wikidata just had its 100 millionth edit. 27 M statements, 9 M subjects, 43 M labels, 33 M descriptions. Not too bad for its first year.
