There are some really great aussie based photographers on gplus, I have met some great people and been exposed to some quality local content from this bunch over the last year.
My circle of aussie togs has grown and shrunk over the year, people get added when I come across them in communities or via people in common, I am not too fussed if they are not overly active, i do not expect daily or even weekly posts, as long as they are quality and engage.
However, I know there are lots more quality, active and interesting Australian based photographers who I have not yet met or circled, thus i need your help, are you an aussie photographer? do you know of any other local ones? I would love to broaden my aussie stream content to include more.
Please feel free to comment and let me know if you know anyone (or if you are indeed one) who is a quality, active and interesting Australian based photographer.
If you want to add some aussie flavour to your stream or looking to connect with other like minded aussies feel free to add these people or share the circle, but please let me know if you know anyone else that should be included!
I did get this shot of a small fall at Somersby Falls though so that almost made up for the lost. It had been raining a lot so there was plenty of leeches out. I have super itchy ankles now from all the leech bites.
There's not too many there yet but as I say it's ongoing.
For those who are interested in how it was done: It's a single shot with the hut being lit with a torch. Inside the hut sitting on the floor was my phone with it's torch pointing to the ceiling.

I have been working as a semi-professional photographer since 2006 though I have been taking photos since I was a child. My main interest lies in the fields of alternative sports, landscape and travel (or even better a mix of all 3).
I have shot both editorial and commercial work. As clichéd as it may sound, I love taking photos and love the challenges that comes with it. I am easy to work with but am focussed on the job at hand. I am my own harshest critic with my photography and, as such, am constantly looking for ways to improve my work and provide the best result I can. However in the end I understand that it is the clients needs that must come first.
My photographs won the 2008 St. Anton Photo Awards taking 1st place in the Landscape category and 1st place in the Action category. In 2009 I won a special award for action outstanding action photograph. In 2011 I won a bronze award in the Epson International Pano Awards. I have a diploma in journalism and use writing as another way to document my travels.I also shoot adventure racing on a casual basis for Aurora Images
