My girlfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary here. It was the first time either of us experienced real gourmet Italian food. It was a wonderful experience. Food was very delicious and the service was very professional and accommodating. It really made our night special. The Lasagna was out of this world.

After looking at many restaurants to celebrate Valentines Day I chose La Grotta Ravinia and booked with open table. We arrived and were seated at our reserved time, but were never greeted. The manager finally came over and apologized. I asked why they weren't serving their regular menu? He said because it was Valentines weekend so they had a fixed price menu. I did see that they were offering a special that weekend, but no where did it say that was your only option. We did not want all that food especially at 9 pm. The manager stated they had to do this because too many people would just order a salad! Nice! so now I am cheap? I have worked in the restaurant business my whole life and when I was looking at menus online nobody was price gouging with fixed price menus, in fact I haven't seen that in ages. You ruined our special night! However Capitol Grille benefitted an I had the best steak ever. You need to think about how you treat people and what you say to them.

The service was so bad I did not leave a tip. The good was the only thing keeping it from being a 1 star. It's not great Italian but it was good, I don't think this is a place I will return to though. I could recommend this if you are staying at the hotel but don't expect to be anywhere else at a particular time.

I LOVE this place!! First note is it's earned several Diamond Awards. My first experience was awesome, so I went back. Yeeeppp, It's still amazing! You will eat until you are uncomfortable... promise. I'm a strategic eater, so most places I pass on bread, but it's worth it here. And their garlic cheese biscuits I'd fight over... Just sayin'. -Calamari and Fried Fontina is great. Sadly, I didn't try much of the Calamari because someone was a little too greedy to share. SMH. -Entrees were the Petto di Pollo Grigliatta (Grilled chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes in an awesome sauce), and the Alfredo type dish adding shrimp) and a side of their Italian sausage. Plus we begged for two more of the biscuits. Everything was incredible and tasted really authentic. I'll say that I preferred the Salmon dish over the Pollo Grigliatta, which I had for my 1st time. BUT the Pollo was still awesome and a great change from my norm. Other notes- They are really accommodating here, so don't hesitate to ask. Tap water tastes like tap water, so go ahead and get the bottled. Tea is unsweetened and served cold so..

Truly fine dining. This is one of the gems of Atlanta dining, offering truly gourmet quality food in a beautiful setting. Everything I have tried here is among the best food I have ever eaten. Even the olive oil they provide for dipping your bread is mindblowingly good. The dining room overlooks the beautiful Crowne Plaza atrium, providing a serene backdrop for your dining experience. Prices aren't outrageous either given how fancy the restaurant is. This deserves to be on everyone in town's go to list for nice nights out.

The restaurant is very nice, in the bottom level of the Crown Plaza. Staff is very nice and helpful. Food is very pricey. It's not bad food, but I feel like for the price you pay it's not that great. I had the filet mignon there recently and ordered it medium rare and the meat wasn't even pink, was light brown. Tasted good, but like I said I feel it's over priced.

Very swanky Italian restaurant inside of the hotel. Recommended for date night or any special occasion. Pricey, but worth it for great food and service.
