I had a wonderful experience shopping at Jan's for prom gowns! My sales person was Roxanne and she couldn't be more helpful! she was kind, pleasant, and knew exactly what we were looking for and the price we wanted to spend. The store had an amazing selection of gowns and i couldn't be more happier with my dresses for junior and senior prom !

Jan's offered me a truly wonderful experience! While shopping for my mother-of-the-bride dress was a very happy time for me, I also felt a bit anxious. Yet, the staff at Jan's made my dream of finding the right dress come true! From my first visit to my fourth, I was treated like royalty each time! No request was inconvenient for the sales staff. Valerie and Judy and Judy made me feel beautiful and like a very special customer by helping me choose dresses that were right for me while paying close attention to my personal style. They were very patient with me allowing me to explore all of the available styles, and I never felt rushed or coaxed into making a purchase. They made it all about me feeling comfortable and pleased with my choice! Other shops don't have the same attention to detail. Jan's has the largest selection of dresses, a most professional sales staff, a very appealing showroom, the most lovely dressing rooms, and my favorite detail is that all of the dresses are enclosed in a vinyl zippered gown bags to prevent them from getting soiled with handling. And, I appreciated wearing gloves while trying on the gowns because I liked the idea that I could be purchasing a dress that was very well taken care of in the shop. I am thrilled with my dress!!! I am looking forward to going back to have my alterations because that is how at home I felt at Jan's!!!

I love Jan's dresses. I've been coming here since my freshman year of high school and I have yet to have any problems with the dresses or the workers, until yesterday. I went in to find a homecoming dress which I'm sure I would. I went in with 5 friends and we all helped each other look for dresses. I picked out 3 and went into the dressing room. As I tried on the dresses, the lady helping me was very opinionated. She told me she didn't like one dress that I was trying on, and it made me feel uncomfortable because I liked the dress. She kept telling me how she didn't like it and it made me feel ugly so I didn't purchase the dress. The dress was gorgeous and was $350 but I was willing to pay the price if I wasn't being told it was hideous.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience, this bothers me greatly. If you could let me know which sales woman was helping you I'd greatly appreciate it. Please call our store Manager Judy at 856-428-8181 so we can find out whom would have said such a thing. While shopping at Jan's for my daughter's prom dress, I noticed the AWESOME boutique in front of the store where I ABSOLUTELY love, love, love to shop! Linda was our sales girl who is THE BEST! Jan always greets us with a hug from day 1, a true classy lady! I love the store & the people so much I went back to buy my dress for my son's wedding .... brought my mom and my son's future mother-in-law and we ALL brought our dresses from here (along with a lot of other boutique clothing.) Brenda the seamstress is AWESOME! There are one of a kind pieces that we all get compliments on wherever we go! LOVE JAN'S BOUTIQUE!!!!

Stacey was great! After the purchase, we realized the brand of the company was not on the dress nor the color, therefore we called back to ask for this info. The Manager (a female) got on the line & had the worst disposition/attitude. She was chewing her lunch in my ear, not very helpful in customers question. It seemed that she was not concerned since the sale was completed. This impacted the overall rating. I cannot refer nor return to Jan's due to this experience. Regretful Customer

Jan's Boutique is a first-class operation in every way. Jan (the owner) has the perfect mix of professionals. A welcoming and dedicated staff that really made my journey in finding the "perfect dress" for my daughter's wedding in Miami an enjoyable and stressed free experience. I was in search of my senior prom dress- I had been to several other shops but I am very particular about what I like. Though Jan's is over an hour drive from home, I knew I wanted to get my dress here after I stopped in just to look back in January while I was in the area. I returned in March prepared to buy my gown. The staff was friendly and helpful and I found a gorgeous dress. It was intricate, elegant and classy. Jan's had a lot of dresses to choose from in different styles and colors. Everything worked out perfectly and I would definitely come back!

I don't ever write reviews but my experience with Jan's definitely warrants one. I read several other reviews on here that mentioned their experience at Jan's was like the Julia Robert's scene from Pretty Woman, which is exactly how I felt after walking out of this store and have never felt so disrespected and appalled by a business before . Stupidity on the sales woman for sure, since my bridal party would have likely spent a lot of money here. I am the bride and came all the way from FL to go bridesmaid dress shopping with mom, aunt, and bridal party. We were looking for mother of the bride type dresses for my mom, aunt and matron of honor. So my one bridesmaid suggested we try Jan's since her mom bought a few dresses there last year for her wedding. From the moment we walked in, the sales woman snapped that they were closing in a half hour and didn't bother to greet us. Really? I don't know any store that conducts this kind of business and barks at people coming into a store 30 minutes before closing. They should be welcoming customers until the last minute of closing! We knew they were closing at 5:30 and politely asked if we could just browse a bit to see their selection. The woman reluctantly said yes and asked us what our budget was. I said I wasn't sure yet, only because I knew my aunt likely would not have had a price limit if she found a dress she really liked. Maybe the sales woman took this to mean we would not be able to afford their dresses because it got much worse from there. The woman walked around with us as we browsed the racks of dresses but never gave us any direction on their policies, as far as making appointments or trying anything on. She never said a word about any of this. We ended up finding a dress that was exactly what my aunt had been looking for. It was the exact color and style she had in mind, so we told her to try it on real quick as we had only been in the store about 10 minutes. The sales woman was talking to my mother and my aunt went to the dressing room. She didn't even end up trying on the dress because it was a size or two too small but held it up to her shoulders and asked us to come look. As my mom and I walked over, the sales woman rushed over to my aunt in the dressing room and snatched the dress from her. Mind you, my aunt was in her bra even though she never actually put the dress on. The woman then yelled at my aunt and said "NO, WE DON'T DO THAT HERE!" We all looked puzzled and said don't do what? She snapped at us and told us that you must have a sales consultant assist you with trying on the dresses and you have to wear gloves. My aunt apologized repeatedly and the woman still went on a rant about how the dresses are not ordered and sold in store, so they must be handled by an associate. Okay that's fine, but you think she would have mentioned this when we were walking around for 10 minutes?! It would have been completely appropriate for her to say something like "Ladies, you are welcome to browse our selections but you will need to make an appointment to try on any dresses." No mention of anything. We were so taken aback by her outburst and my aunt was so embarrassed. I mean, who really snatches a dress from someone half naked in a dressing room? This woman acted like we were the Beverly Hillbillies that had the nerve to walk into her store on Rodeo Drive. Completely disgusted with how she treated us. My aunt owns her own company and couldn't imagine treating customers this way. What really unnerves me is that I hardly ever get to spend time with my friends and family since I moved out of NJ a few years ago. This was supposed to be a fun and exciting day for us to go dress shopping and this whole ordeal definitely put a damper on our day. This store has a beautiful selection of dresses but it certainly doesn't make up for their lack of customer service and respect. Completely ridiculous and uncalled for. Shame on them because like I said, we would have likely gone back and spent a lot of money if not for this experience.

First off I have to sincerely apologize for your experience in my store. I am ashamed in how my sales lady treated you and I will be rectifying this to never happen again. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and although we clearly failed with you and your family members I want you to know this is not how my sales girls are trained to deal with our clients. I've been in business for 43 years and trust me I believe wholeheartedly treating all my customers with kindness and respect. I truly hope you give us a 2nd chance and if you do I'd like to personally apologize and gain your respect. Jan

What can I say about the best Mother of the Bride shopping experience at Jan’s Boutique, except to say that from the moment I stepped into the store I was not only overwhelmed with the selection, but also by the impeccable service provided by Marie and Judy, and Jan’s amazingly talented seamstress, Brenda.  I came into Jan’s looking for a specific designer who I knew they carried.  Marie brought me dresses from the designer I thought I wanted, and some other dresses to try on for comparison.  After trying on some gorgeous gowns, I had it narrowed down to the original designer’s dress I was looking for, and a spectacular Rene Ruiz dress that was completely unique and suited my personality and style.  After two more trips to Jan’s, bringing my daughter and then my husband back for their opinions, the hands down selection was this spectacular Rene Ruiz gown.  Each time I returned I was treated with kindness and an understanding that this was a big decision for me.  I was not harassed with follow up phone calls asking me if I was coming back in for the dress, like I was from several other dress stores in the Philadelphia Suburbs.  Jan’s Boutique was professional and welcoming every step of the way.  The warmth and enthusiasm for my selection made me feel comfortable and thrilled with my choice.  I highly recommend Jan’s Boutique to anyone looking for a special occasion dress and a unique shopping experience that is tailored to you and your special occasion …I know I will be back!  Thank you…Ellen Cohan
