Usability testing helps you fix problems much before they manifest in the real world. It reduces both the development as well as the support costs by assessing the real usage of your website or application using real users (or a representative sample). As can be seen in this article, a number of tools are readily available for free or at a minimal cost in order to facilitate the testing process. ‪#‎Usability‬ ‪#‎Testing‬ ‪#‎UX‬
This article discusses 4 tools that will help you get through the 4 key stages of a usability test. These tools are effective, yet simple to use.

"It’s not just dedicated mobile apps that users will consume in relation to their car. Parking garages, home garages, smart houses, and gas stations will all need development in order for the device networking to run smoothly. So design and development for vehicles is not exclusive to just vehicles..." ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬ ‪#‎Usability‬ ‪#‎Mobile‬

The reality is that Apple, Google and Microsoft’s App marketplaces are getting more crowded every day. With so many options and such limited space on users’ phones, an app really has to stand out to create a viable install base. If the app isn’t picked up by enough people, the investments go to waste and the entire mobile marketing strategy is compromised.
So this begs the question: Does your business really need a mobile app? ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎Mobile‬ ‪#‎MobileApps‬

"Designing and developing the needs that surround beacon optimization comes from a contextual understanding of their function and the user’s needs. Yeah, it is kind of a hard one to wrap your brain around. A contextual understanding of a user’s needs is all about anticipation. Asking yourself, as a designer or developer, what a user ought to expect without expecting it, is key in contextual development." ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬ ‪#‎BeaconUX‬
A beacon is a device that can send information and alerts to users' mobile device based on user analytics, proximity and indoor navigation in a closed space

"Very few people outside the realm of design visit a site to admire the creativity found there. Even fewer people are interested in the web development practices that brought it to fruition. When designing for either smartwatch platform, UX designers ought to keep in mind the various usability requirements, and new functionalities, brought about with the introduction of the smartwatch. The decrease in screen real estate has made the size of a “touch target” a very important consideration. Likewise, the role of the smartwatch as a “satellite device” is an important factor when designing apps. ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬ ‪#‎Smartwatch‬
Smartwatch UX design deserves its own area of considerations because of the hardware, software, functionality as well as small screen size of smartwatches

Be smart about your landing page. Remember to keep your potential customers goals, needs and wants first and foremost; you are not designing for yourself but designing in order to make things easier for them. Give your audience all the information they need to make an informed decision but do not overwhelm them with unnecessary information. ‪#‎CRO‬ ‪#‎landingpageoptimization‬ ‪#‎UX‬

A website’s design has two clear goals. The first, to offer visitors an immersive brand experience and second, making sure that this immersive brand experience holds the potential for future conversions. Any web design that does not fulfill these two basic goals fails in its raison d’etre.
Good web design should focus on the product and brand image, findability, customer preferences and the devices that the website is being accessed on.

"Using usability metrics, it is possible to observe and quantify the usability of any system irrespective if it is software, hardware, web-based or a mobile application. This is because metrics are based on extensive research and testing by various academics and experts and have withstood the test of time. Moreover, they cover all of the three core elements that constitute the definition of usability: effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, thus ensuring an all-round quantification of the usability of the system being tested." ‪#‎usability‬ ‪#‎metrics‬ ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬
Usability metrics quantify the usability of a system in terms of the effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction with which users perform tasks when using it
