A website’s design has two clear goals. The first, to offer visitors an immersive brand experience and second, making sure that this immersive brand experience holds the potential for future conversions. Any web design that does not fulfill these two basic goals fails in its raison d’etre.
Good web design should focus on the product and brand image, findability, customer preferences and the devices that the website is being accessed on.

"Using usability metrics, it is possible to observe and quantify the usability of any system irrespective if it is software, hardware, web-based or a mobile application. This is because metrics are based on extensive research and testing by various academics and experts and have withstood the test of time. Moreover, they cover all of the three core elements that constitute the definition of usability: effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, thus ensuring an all-round quantification of the usability of the system being tested." ‪#‎usability‬ ‪#‎metrics‬ ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬
Usability metrics quantify the usability of a system in terms of the effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction with which users perform tasks when using it

"I believe that there is more to building a great brand and a successful business than just reworking your website’s layout or redoing its SEO details. The reality is that Apple, Google and Microsoft’s App marketplaces are getting more crowded every day. With so many options and such limited space on users’ phones, an app really has to stand out to create a viable install base. If the app isn’t picked up by enough people, the investments go to waste and the entire mobile marketing strategy is compromised.
So this begs the question: Does your business really need a mobile app? ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎Mobile‬ ‪#‎MobileApps‬

"Designing and developing the needs that surround beacon optimization comes from a contextual understanding of their function and the user’s needs. Yeah, it is kind of a hard one to wrap your brain around. A contextual understanding of a user’s needs is all about anticipation. Asking yourself, as a designer or developer, what a user ought to expect without expecting it, is key in contextual development." ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬ ‪#‎BeaconUX‬

"Jargon need not be a boundary to usability. Used in the correct way, it can actually enhance it. If you are writing about a highly-specialised topic or something that only people who understand the jargon would use, it can help cohesion and speed of understanding, allowing you to provide a highly informative piece of content. If, however, you’re writing for a generic audience with a general level of understanding, perhaps lay off the shop talk." ‪#‎Usability‬ ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬ ‪#‎Jargon‬
Jargon can actually enhance usability. It all depends on whether the targeted readership is familiar with the technical terminology being used.

"When used separately there is a danger that you will either have a large study with too many detailed and non-significant conclusions (when you focus on qualitative) or you will end up having very general conclusions without sufficient context (when you lean towards quantitative)." ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬
Informed UX decisions require both quantitative and qualitative data. This is because quantitative gives you the what while qualitative gives you the why
