Busy Tex-Mex icon serving fajitas, margaritas & more in casual, sprawling digs with a patio.- Google
"I had chicken and beef fajitas, which were dry and tough."
"Definitely better Mexican food around, but it's solid."

Well, Mr. Moore is correct - Joe T.'s IS a Texas standard for a reason. Enough people are told over and over it's the best so they believe it. You could feed them the glop that builds up in rain gutters and if it came from Joe T.'s, it's the best. Because everyone says it is. I've been a couple of times because I have kinfolk in FW and when we get together as a large family group we have come here. One plus - they handle large groups all right. Now for the food. I'm a frickin' Gringo and I can cook better Mexican than theirs. And only 2 kinds of entrees? Served family style? When you got 10 or more people with small children at the table and you try to share it, it becomes a conglomerated fornication of reaching and passing, elbow and arms all over the table. Yeah, that's fun. Why Joe T.'s has not embraced the 21st century, let alone the 20th and does not accept debit / credit cards is beyond any intellegent person's comprehension. STUPID is what it is. Oh, but they have such a lovely patio...

Let me preface this by saying my family has come here for years and for the most part, we have a good experience. Pros to eating here: The atmosphere is amazing. You can sit outside and enjoy the fountains, the greenery, and the lovely flowers. Your server will come around often to refill drinks and ask if you need anything else. There are a couple of gentlemen with guitars to serenade you and other guests while you're eating. Cons: You have to pay with cash or check. If you want to use a card, they'll direct you to their ATM. The management can be a little snooty and not respectful all the time. The menu consists of 3 dishes (which was fine by me), but they're definitely not exclusive. The beef fajitas are okay, but for the price, I'd expect a better cut. The chicken fajitas are fine, but it's nothing mouth-watering. The enchilada plate comes with a variety of food, but it's far overpriced and they pile the lettuce on to make it look like the tacos are filled and the cheese/red sauce is always drenching the measly enchilada. The biggest con for me though, was that they cannot split a check. So, there are always 10 of us trying to figure out tip, whose soda was whose, whose plate has been paid for, etc. For the price, I'd rather go somewhere else. my family only goes for the opportunity to sit outside and have a place for the 3 kids we have in the family to walk around and throw coins in the fountain.

One of my favorite places to go in Fort Worth. You can't beat the Family Style and the atmosphere kills it. Consistently great times are had at Joe T's.

I came here with some co-workers, all for the first time based on their legacy reputation. They were busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. Server came up shortly after we were sat & asked what we wanted to drink, I asked him what was on tap & he informed me they don't serve anything on tap, bottles only (err), so we ordered our drinks & some queso dip which arrived pretty quickly, queso was pretty plain almost nothing added for flavor & beer was warm. Then our server asked us if we were ready to order & I asked him if we could get some menu's, he let us know they only have 2 things on the menu, 1. Cheese Enchiladas with 2 side tacos & 2. Steak or Chicken Fajitas, so we ordered one of each for all of us to share. Food arrived & was a 3 out of 10 (edible but not enjoyable). All 4 of us barely ate from 2 plates, there were plenty of leftovers. So after all this, the check arrives, I put my credit card into the bill fold & am informed of some more disappointing news, they don't take credit card (seems shady, your hooked at that point, had we known we would of gone somewhere else, guess that's why they wait till the end to inform you)... cash or check only, but they will be happy to walk me to an onsite ATM were I can withdraw some cash - for a nominal fee of course - and yes, just to confirm this all took place in the year 2015 if you can believe it. So in summary, no one got what they wanted (we had to get what Joe T Garcia wanted us to get) & we didn't even enjoy what we got. I would not recommend this place.

I liked the atmosphere outside at a table. I had the combination fajitas the amount of meat you get is great also the sides and fresh guacamole but the taste of the fajitas was okay definitely better Mexican food at other places. Overall the food is over hyped and it's just okay tasting fajitas with great portions.

Very nice atmosphere! Food was ok, too simple but still enjoyed it. Service was great, server helped us out being first timers there. Would go back again that for sure!

First time last night after listening to the hype....very disappointed. Fajitas portion was good, fajitas were not. Their enchiladas and tacos were along the lines of Taco Bell, Taco Casa, and Jack in the Box. They were even nice enough to melt some sharp cheddar cheese on a tostada and call it a queso chip:-/ Add to that they dont take credit/debit cards in the year 2015, its doubtful I ever go back as I have the before mentioned fast food joints less than one mile from my house.
