Our colorful continental décor, along with the savory aromas of Italian cooking, help create the ambience that makes the Odéon Café a wonderful place to visit.

This Italian bistro is a longtime standard for dining & drinks in a spacious, bi-level setting.- Google
"For dessert we had flan, chocolate souffle, and tres leches."
"Better than popular Italian place across the street "tomate."

This place is absolutely one of my top favorite places in DC. Everyone was extremely welcoming and warm both times I've been there so far. The second time was on the 2016 New Year's Eve and they had balloons and colorful decorations everywhere and the entire place was packed! My friend and I had a paella and it was really good and filling for 2 adults however, it took them about 45 minutes to prepare it but it makes sense because of the high number of people and orders there. All the staff speak Spanish and English fluently. The only thing that was a bit bothering was the loud background music. It was two Spanish women from the 70s. Besides that, I highly recommend this place. You can also practice your Spanish there.

Love this place. The nicest bartenders and the strongest drinks. Well worth a visit. Tegar is a real great guy.

Perfect variety! Trusty sangria. Seafood fresh and perfectly prepared. We loved the muscles and sauce. Good with friends or couples.

The food was okay, so was the sangria. Nothing special stood out.

I went on a Tuesday night and had okay service. There were only two other tables when we sat down. They didn't bring us any water until we asked, they were out of chorizo and out bread. Which they failed to inform us of until we'd been waiting 10 minutes already for our food. That doesn't even make sense!? Food was okay and sangria needs to be better for a restaurant claiming to represent España! The only plus is that the waiter was flexible and gave us each a separate check and that's not the norm in DC.

I went with my parents and we had a wonderful time. The music was great and we felt like we were back in Spain. We had Paella Mixta and it was excellent. It was not dry or liquidy. It had the perfect consistency. Good paella is so hard to come by, so this place may be my new gem! Prior to the paella, we had patatas bravas, tortilla espagnola, pulpo gallena, and chorizo. ALL SO YUMMY! For dessert we had flan, chocolate souffle, and tres leches. Also, so yummy! Great wine selection! FYI, they have $3.50 sangria happy hour! The service was great. Everyone was very warm. Go here and your belly will be happy! I am looking forward to going back!

Inconsistent sangria which the bar staff failed to make using the ingredients listed on the menu. The bar tender admitted he was just "covering." Service was slow and unapologetic and the bill was incorrect. Women's restroom was unusable - no lights in one stall and the other was broken. There was a manager on staff but despite our best efforts we couldn't track him down to relate these concerns during our two hours at the restaurant. Would not recommend.
