Love what +Seán Duggan wrote. It was a good conversation. One we need to have more often.
None of us live forever, and this week on TheFIX on +This Week in Photo (TWiP), I'm joined by +Erika Thornes to discuss what happens to your treasured digital family photos after you're gone. Our conversation includes some simple workflow steps you can take to ensure that your important family photos can be easily accessed by your family in both digital and print form, even though you are no longer around. Erika has put a lot of thought into this question after a close friend of hers passed away and she was asked by the family to help sort out her friend's 250,000 image Lightroom catalog and separate the most important family images so they could be dealt with more easily from a non-photographer perspective (i.e., accessed by people who don't know  #Lightroom , and have no idea what a raw file is, but just want to be able to see and share the images as simply as possible).  Erika's tips and suggestions can provide a framework for creating some simple solutions that are easy to implement in your own imaging workflow.

My very first article is up on Photofocus today. I wrote about how I light portraits underwater. I'd love for you to check it out, and leave a little love here, or there. I'd also love to field any questions you have!

Today, I was going through portraits I shot underwater using different lighting techniques, and I came across this one. I totally forgot about it, as I don't have it in the files or galleries I see very often. So exciting to see images I haven't looked at in two years. What a fun hidden gem! using Joel Olives textures.http://www.joelolives.com/

So, this past week I went to Photoshop World in Vegas, hosted by +KelbyTraining.com. I got to meet the +Photofocus®  team, and I invited one of their authors, Lisa, into the pool at Mandalay Bay Hotel. The wave pool was far better than I could have ever imagined to shoot in. Truly incredible. I can't wait to dig through the photos and find even more fun images. I thought I'd share this one in the meantime. So beautiful, and so much fun.

Blue

The other day, I posted this image here on Google+. Today, while playing around, I accidentally deleted it. Opps. We all make mistakes. But.... I love it. I really love it, and I wanted to make sure to share it with you again. So, please forgive my double post. shot it with my Sony a6000 with an underwater case out here in Del Mar, CA. It was about 30 minutes until sunset, to the light was a little low, enough to give a depth to the water color, without being too dark. This was the color I saw when I was out there. It was an amazing night. It makes me want to get out IN the water more, instead of staying on the shore. For some reason, the image gives them anxiety. Worried about what is beneath. For me, it brings a sense of calmness. Almost meditative. A perfect place for me to relax and reflect... Then there is that bubble. Oh, I want to pop that bubble.
