Surveillance camera examples! HD IMAGE quality
Surveillance cameras examples of how it looks in real life, these images are taken directly from the hard disk recorder and not edited. It gives a good impression of how an IP Camera with HD image quality can look like in real life.

The cameras used are the Dahua HDW4100 and the HDW4200 with a 3.6 mm lens
The picture below gives a good picture of an in-between path with a good overview on the camera, the image is quiet without noise.

Also the back is well in the picture, it is clear and clear, the HD quality is good to his right look at the badges these are good and clear to read as it should.

How do HD images look like from an IP camera?
The most important question that naturally everyone wants to see answered, how do the security camera images look like? what is the image that can be seen from an IP Camera. The examples where you can see what the possibilities are.

Do-it-yourself security camera installation
Perhaps the most frequently asked question is “Can I install security cameras myself?”. The answer to that is something more extensive than a simple yes or no.

First of all, we have to distinguish between the different types of surveillance camera systems that are available: Analogue, HD-CVI, HD-SDI and HD IP. All systems can be connected and configured by the customer himself. Depending on the chosen system, the required technical knowledge may differ.

Pull cables and hang up cameras
Regardless of the chosen system, you have to install the cameras with screws during do-it-yourself installation. Also, all cameras have a cable (Coax/power supply or, as with HD IP, a network cable). Regardless of the systems chosen, it is therefore important that you know how best to lay cables and how to hang up security cameras installation.

All our standard analog, HD-CVI, and HD-SDI systems are equipped with cables with connectors, so you do not have to “make” cables yourself. HD IP systems use network cables, which you can easily order, or even custom-made.

Analog, HD-CVI, and HD-SDI
Although the image quality differs considerably between these camera systems, the method of connection is almost the same. A combi cable runs from each camera to the recorder. A combi cable has two connections (video and current) and therefore provides voltage to the camera, and video to the recorder.

All standard analog, HD-CVI, and HD-SDI systems are in fact plug-and-play. This means that as soon as all cables are connected and the monitoring system is supplied with power, the recorder starts recording video images.

Connecting to the network, and watching via a smartphone or tablet requires a little more technical knowledge. Of course, we can help you with this free of charge if you contact us.

HD IP security camera and complete surveillance camera systems
With HD IP cameras and systems, the technology is slightly different. All components (surveillance cameras, recorders, etc.) are connected to the network. Every camera and every recorder has its own, fixed, unique IP address. Via the network, the recorder can retrieve, record and display images from the HD IP security camera. It is also possible to take images directly from the camera using a PC or smartphone.

Set up a network for IP cameras
Setting up a network for surveillance cameras is, in fact, nothing different from the network that computers use. In fact, you can simply combine both. To power network cameras you can use a separate adapter, but often use is made of so-called PoE (Power over Ethernet) switches, these switches provide the camera with power and network via the same cable.

Install camera surveillance yourself
Installing camera surveillance yourself is therefore fine. Depending on the chosen system some knowledge of networks/IP addresses are required. If necessary, we can give a short explanation about this from a distance. If you have specific questions before or afterward, please contact our helpdesk - Audio Video King.

How to Mount a Large TV Screen

Large TV installation is now the standard in homes, offices, and restaurants, and most people and places choose to install on a wall. Installing a large TV on the wall properly ensures stability and security; installing incorrectly would be disastrous.

Instructions
1.) Determine the type of TV mount you need for your large TV. TV mounts come in small, medium and large. The size is based on the weight of the TV installation. In general, every TV more than 36 inches requires a large TV mount.

TV mounts are also available in three different positions: full-motion, tilt movement, and flat mount. Full motion offers the possibility to move the large screen TV side to the right and up and down. Tilt movement moves the TV up and down. Flat mounting it is not possible to move the TV completely.

2.) Determine the location of the TV. Will the TV be placed on a large empty wall or will the TV be placed on a wall or possibly between windows? Remember:
– The TV must be free of possible obstacles when moving back and forth or up and down.
– The TV must have access to a good power supply. Avoid overloading a power outlet.
– The TV must not be placed near a heat source and water source.

3.) Install the wall support as follows:
– Securely fix the base to the wall. Make sure the holes for the soil container are drilled into the wall beams (studs). Installing the base supports the weight of the TV, so it must be very safe.
– Mount the arm to mount it to the base (if applicable). Make sure the arm is properly secured. The arm mount allows you to move your TV back and forth.
– Attach the TV brackets to the back of the TV. Slide the TV into the TV mount arm. Make sure that the brackets click into place.
– Check that all screws, bolts, and nuts are tight before leaving the TV stand alone.
– Attach the cables to the back of the TV and the home theater components.

Hints
Always measure twice and cut once. Do not start drilling holes without making sure the measurements are correct, and you are drilling into the wall studs.

Always check to ensure that everything is level if you continue. It is important that the wall holder and arm continue its level from before.

You already have an assistant to help you the wall TV installation.

Is internet needed for an IP camera?
To record camera images from IP cameras, a device is needed that can download and save images from the security camera. This can be done with an NVR, for example, but also with a NAS. In this blog post, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of both.

What is an NVR?
NVR stands for Network Video Recorder, simply a device that can download and save images via the network. An NVR is specifically made for storing images from IP cameras.

What is a NAS
NAS stands for Network-attached storage or a storage device connected to the network. A NAS can do much more than store images from IP cameras. Often a NAS is also used for storing photos, films, music, and documents. Some systems can also stream music and video.

Advantages of an NVR
- Specifically for camera surveillance
An NVR is really made for camera surveillance. The device is fully equipped for communication with IP cameras and is therefore very suitable for this.

- VGA and HDMI outputs
An NVR has video outputs, the models in our range have a VGA and an HDMI output. Both outputs can be used for connecting a monitor or TV. You can then view live camera images or search for recorded images.

- NVR with PoE
There are different types of recorders. A simple version does not have PoE (Power over Ethernet). For a small surcharge, however, an NVR with 4 or 8 PoE ports is a good option. With Power over Ethernet ports, you can supply the IP cameras with power and network.

- Many channels
An NVR often already has 4, 9 or even more video channels. This means that you can save the images of, for example, 4 or 9 IP cameras at no extra cost.

Disadvantages of an NVR
A Network Video Recorder does not have any disadvantages that affect the quality of security cameras. However, it is true that an NVR can only be used for security camera. If you do not have a lot of surveillance cameras, an NVR is a relatively expensive option, because the purchase price is divided over just one or two cameras. An NVR is already available from € 269 excl. VAT.

Advantages of a NAS
- Multifunctional
A NAS is not only suitable for IP cameras and can, for example, also be used for storing video files.

- Relatively cheap
If you only have one or two IP cameras at the most, you can add these to your NAS, often at no extra cost, depending on the model. Please note that for additional cameras, an additional license per camera is usually required.

- Shared storage
If you do not want to save images for a long time, saving on a NAS can be useful. Any additional storage capacity can then be used for, for example, photos or videos.

Disadvantages of a NAS
With a NAS, unfortunately, there are a few drawbacks that usually ensure that the choice does not fall on a NAS. We list the most important ones.

- No video outputs
A NAS does not have video outputs, which means that connecting a monitor is not possible and that watching life can only be done after logging in via a PC.

- Shared storage capacity
Although an advantage with few cameras or a short recording duration, it can also work to your disadvantage. If the storage has to be shared with, for example, music, movies, and photos, this may be at the expense of the recording time of your security cameras.

- Additional licenses
With almost all models there is only one software license for one IP cameras. With a few exceptions, two IP cameras are possible. If you want to add more cameras, you will need to purchase additional licenses for this. The costs are approximately $60 per IP camera. With 6 cameras you can easily lose more than $220 extra.

Additional package discount when purchasing an NVR and IP cameras
If you buy a discount set with IP cameras and an NVR with us, you will receive an additional discount. Purchasing an NVR instead of a NAS is therefore even more advantageous.
