Hey there, got a little info that might help people with BF4 performance.
I was running at supposedly 60fps but it felt like 15fps. After messing around with every setting possible it turns out that V-Sync is the problem.
I think it is enabled by default, which usually I would like since I hate screen tearing. But with it disabled it's now running smooth at 50-80fps and barely any tearing.
I know you would expect higher frame rates with V-Sync disabled (I'm not that huge a noob) but it definitely doesn't behave in BF4 like it should. I know this has been posted on forums etc. already but it's not very easy to find unless you know to search for V"-Sync bug". Hope this helps someone.
Anybody else feeling pretty underwhelmed by Aviate?
The "useful information" seemed pretty bland (for Edinburgh anyway), the widget area is buggy and you can't make it any taller, and for some reason it feels like I'm running an app and not a launcher. That damn dock at the bottom doesn't resize even when you've only got 4 apps in it. And the app categorisation isn't as good as smart launcher.
Lovely little place with a great atmosphere. Staff are nice and the Italian family who run it are the real deal. It isn't expensive and the portions are generous! Had quite a few enormous pizzas! They let you customise your order, I have pizzas without cheese as I'm allergic to milk and they are happy to help. Enjoy!
