Is it the goal of the Lima project to develop a drop in replacement for the mali DDX driver?  I also see there is another project at https://github.com/ssvb/xf86-video-sunxifb that is attempting to do that.  Any guesses as to when there will be a decent X11 DDX driver available for the Cubieboard?

Over 2 years since this article was written, but the writers argument is considerably stronger now, IMHO. ;-)

Simple, straightforward analysis of the the legislation that Congress is considering to regulate the Internet. The conclusion is that it will fail in its explicit goal to stop piracy, but it will be vehicle for abusive censorship and inhibit innovation.

I have a meta question about the Cubieboard forum.  If I want to ask general Linux questions regarding topics like driver support, where should I post them?  There questions are not distro specific.  Should I post them under Distributions->Other or Off topic.  It seems like there should be Linux topic in the Forum like on this Google+ page.

Hi Jean,

I realize that the forums are the best source for technical questions.  My question is where to post in the forum when I have a question that is a general Linux issue, not specific to any distro?  Off Topic?  Distributions->Other?  Neither seems like the right place.

One of the best short novels I have ever read. Perhaps my favorite Vargas Llosa novel so far.

Should you be able to chose what software you can run on a device you own? Call me crazy, but I think it should be a right, not a crime.

+Jamie Flournoy Software is almost always licensed, (e.g.the OS of mobile phone). However, last I checked people still have the option to own their phones. Carriers may attach terms on what software can be used when connected on their network, but that is part of the issue.

The protest may already be having some effect. A quote from this article "Rubio hinted at a Beltway truth that many other wavering Protect IP and SOPA supporters have been hesitant to admit: ... lawmakers signed on to the legislation without understanding its technical workings and potential problems" Doh!
