Although Cinco De Mayo is not celebrated in most Mexican cities, this holiday that commemorates the victory of the Mexican army at the battle of Puebla has become very popular in the United States. And although it’s important to remember it’s real meaning Cinco de Mayo is also the perfect excuse to embrace the Mexican … Continue reading »

Join the #LATISM  twitter chat tonight at 9pm!
This is a sponsored post on behalf of LATISM. However all opinions are my own. Having more diversity in the media and giving diverse channels the importance they deserve is crucial for many reasons. The recent Democratic debate hosted on the Spanish network Univision exemplifies this. During the debate issues that are of special interest … Continue reading »

The most amazing hotel I've ever stayed at! #Cappadocia   #Turkey   #travel
One of the things I love about travel is that you get to encounter places and people that will forever change the way you think about the world. It is not often that a hotel has that effect but this is certainly the case with the Sacred House Hotel in the town of Ürgüp in Cappadocia. … Continue reading »

Magical stay at the Pera Palace Jumeirah! #travel   #Istanbul
As I planned my trip to Istanbul staying at the iconic Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah, built by the Eastern & Orient Express Railway in 1892 to serve the guests of the iconic Orient Express luxury passenger train, was at the top of my list. I had heard stories and watched movies about the magnificent train … Continue reading »

Istanbul is a huge city and deciding what hotel and what area of the city to stay in is not always easy. #travel  #Instanbul
Istanbul is a huge city and there are so many interesting neighborhoods that when we started looking for hotels I could not decide in which area to stay in. While Sultanahmet is convenient as it is close to most of the tourist attractions including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi palace this touristy … Continue reading »

I left a dress to be cleaned as I had to take it on a trip. They offered to have it on Monday after 5pm and when I went there to pick it up they said they did not have it. I told them I had asked if they could have it for that specific date as I was getting on a plane early next day and taking the dress with me on the trip and they assured me they could have ti by then. I told the sales lady that I could not come back tomorrow and I needed the dress, she just looked at me and said "Sorry!". She didn't even try to call anyone or try to resolve the issue in any way. Worst customer service ever. Now that I look at the reviews both here and in Yelp all are bad reviews of similar instances of bad customer service. Never going back!
