it's the only place in this neighborhood where you'll find delicious food that is not over priced. they have very good mac and cheese and they serve up a yummy brunch! the service is excellent and the decor is very nice.

Poor service. My credit card was over charged and I went through major hassle to get things straight. Not going back nor recommending this place to anybody. Mariusz Pisarek

Decent place to eat. Clean good service. Not the best menu, very limited sandwiches. The pulled chicken was delicious but the side salad lacked any flavor

Poor service, got my order wrong, stuck up and overpriced. Go somewhere else

Good service, good food, good portions, good ambience. Careful, though: one appetizer, two entrees and four drinks ran me $200.

So I was really excited about coming to this restaurant because food network Chef Zakarian was supposed to be the chef!!! Let me just start off by saying all the staff are running with there heads chopped off!!! It took the server 15 minutes to come up and even ask what I wanted to drink!! CRAZYYYYY The food wasn't high quality for the price and the drinks were weak!!! It's obvious this restaurant is resting on its acclaimed fame and not its high service or food quality.... What a shame too because I was excited.

At 6:30-7:30 on a Thursday night the waiter was very attentive. Loved the steak tartar. Enjoyed the paprika fries. The sidekick margarita was delicious. The sparkling water was a ridiculous $7. Would eat here again.

My meal at The National was amazing! The bread basket was a delicious blend of olive bread, white bread, and bread with oats. It was a great first impression of the restaurant. For the first course on the Restaurant Week menu, the Shrimp Salad was delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned with a lot of flavor. There was grilled peaches in the salad that were just scrumptious on their own. The Gazpacho with avocado and croutons was very refreshing and flavorful. For the main course, the Roast Chicken had an amazing crispy skin and under the chicken was an herbaceous barley risotto. The Grilled Branzino was a great dish with a tasty corn chowder. The Ricotta Cheesecake for dessert was amazing with a unique balsamic ice cream that went great with the cheesecake and figs. The Yogurt Panna Cotta was creamy and scrumptious, sitting in a pool of passion fruit. As a bonus to my meal, I got to meet Geoffrey Zakarian. It was a wonderful meal at The National that I hope to repeat soon.
