Friends of Historic LDS Tours:

I hope you are well as we approach summer time. Spring is a wonderful time of the year and maybe the most significant season in the history of the earth. Many wonderful events have happened in the spring season, from Passover to the Restoration…

It has been a great year with a few trips already in the books. I just returned from Israel this month and it was wonderful there. I have attached a few pictures for your enjoyment. The Old City from the Mount of Olives, The Garden Tomb, and me standing in Hezekiah’s Tunnel.

We do have a small group tour set for 2019 that you may want to consider if you have never been to Israel. More to come on that, but let me know if you are interested and I will get your more details.

Now is a great time to plan your next church history tour! We continue to do tours in England and Scotland, Nauvoo and New York. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great Summer…

Friends of Historic LDS Tours:

I hope you are well this month. I wanted to send you a picture of one of my favourite places in Israel. This is a picture of the Banya’s, or the head waters of the Jordan River in the far north. This is the traditional place of Caesarea Philippi. The spring is flowing pretty low in this picture but during the rainy season there can be much more water.

This is the place where the events of Matthew 16 unfolded:

13 ¶ When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I never tire of seeing this place and enjoying the power of what happened here.

I hope you enjoy!

Friends of Historic LDS Tours:

Welcome to 2018!

I hope you are well and ready for a new year. We are excited for the coming year and wish you the best in all that you are engaged in.

2017 was a wonderful year, we had multiple tours in England, Scotland and Wales. A trip to New York and Kirtland and 6 tours to Israel. It was wonderful to meet so many lovely people and experience church history together.

In 2018 we have some wonderful things planned. For the first time, we have a preset tour of Israel planned for May. Custom tours can be expensive, so in order to provide a more cost efficient option, we have decided to plan for a small group tour in May, where we can spread the costs of the tour and still provide a wonderful experience. I have attached a summary of that tour for your consideration.

We are also booking the regular custom tours for 2018, with some wonderful options in England and Israel, as well as Rome, New York and Nauvoo.

If you are thinking about a church history tour, now is the time to book it.

You are welcome to call me or email me back for the details.

I have attached some nice pictures from 2017 for your viewing pleasure.

We wish you a happy New Year!

Sterling

Friends of Historic LDS Tours:

I hope you are well as summer ends and we start into fall. It has been a busy summer with trips to East Coast, England and Israel.

I have attached a picture of the Vista of Jerusalem, from the Mount of Olives on a very clear day.

I have also attached a picture of the Leasowe Lighthouse near Liverpool, built in 1763. I actually painted this in the late 90’s as a service project. It needs to be painted again!

As you begin to consider your vacation plans for 2018, think about what a church history tour might do for you and your family. I am happy to help you put something together this fall or next year.

Have a great month!
